Chalfont Motor Lodge, Chalfont

On the recommendation of a good friend who spent a getaway weekend here, i decided to rent a room for a night wheni found myself in a pickle with my car being repaired. I was given a small, but tidy room, with a small tv & satellite programming. I was woken up at 1:30am by the heater coming on & sat up in bed. I realized the blanket i was using had about 6 bugs on it. I shot out of bed, promptly mashed as many as i could get & flushed them away. I returned to bed thinking that the things must be coming in because of the unseasonably warm weather (bringing them out) & the regular cold at night sending them in. Just to be sure, i checked under my pillows. There were 4 more. Again, i flushed the trespassers. Upon returning from the bathroom i decided to shake out the sheets..just to make sure. About 6 fell out of the sheets. I decided i would request another room. I went to the office & rang the bell about 10 times. No response. I called their business number & was greeted by a rude man who, upon me telling my story told me "Oh no you didnt. Stop complaining. Youve been here for 40 years & all you do is complain." When i corrected him & told him i wasnt even 40 years old, i repeated my story & he said "no you didnt. no you didnt" I told him to come see the bugs for himself & hung up. I waited for 20 minutes, nothing. I decided id take a shower & leave. There was no water. The shower head produced no more than a trickle of water, if even that. I packed my things and left, opting to sleep in my car rather with the bugs. I returned to the office at 9 am (before checkout) to return my key & ask for a refund. The woman there accused me of lying, told me i needed help & harassed me till i drove off. I will never go back, or recommend it ..mostly because of the horrendous treatment. I understand that insects are natural. But 15+ insects in the bed? Unsanitary & unnecessary.
