Skyview Manor Motel, Seaside Heights

The location to the beach is 1/2 block from the beach. Boardwalk is also very close. Conventient to state stores and other shops. Did not need to drive anywhere. Owners were friendly and accommodating. Very quiet and the property is watched at night. They also have a nice pool. We were very pleased with this vacation. We will gladly stay again.

This place was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I booked it based on the pics and description online, beware!!! There was no housekeeping...if I wanted to change my own sheets, get my own towels and dump my own trash every day I would have stayed at home. I brought my 3 year old son and my younger sister and there was so much partying the one night I thought the brats were going to come through the front door...oh yeah the chain lock was removed. The bathroom door didn't shut and someone had kicked a whole in it. The bathroom faucet wasn't even really attached and talk about stench...it was a mix between stagnet smoke and dirty sex!!! Every time you turned on the air conditioner it just got worse. I had to ask the security guard for air freshner and yes I did say security guard. The only good thing was the location to the beach...that's it. The better business bureau should really go in there as well as the health department.

Was a horror from day 1.No parking any where the hotel sucked no house cleaning.Pool was dirty and unkept.

This Hotel was filthy and had no housekeeping. The rooms were dirty. They did not have the right sheets on the beds. There was what looked like blood on the bathroom walls and door. The windows were not secure and the smoke alarm was broken. There was inadequate lighting in the room and no phone. We were there 4 nights and the beds were never made, the trash was never emptied, the towels were never changed, and we had to go to the office just to get more toilet paper. This place was dirty inside and out.

Yup..it's 12:45am on Thursday. Like I mentioned in the past review regarding the parking came to fruition. Hotel management came to my door at 12:40am to move my car....Meanwhile, teenagers and 21'ers are running around endlessly yelling and swearing. I can not sleep now being so angry...This is the worst hotel experience in my 40 years. NEVER COME HERE!!! June 30th, 2010...

Cigarette butts everywhere! Dirty floors and leaky ac's. Moldy rugs and semi rude front desk. We parked in back of another car due to the owner blocking a space. We asked them if we could get to the open spot so as not to block another person. The desk guy looked and said he'd call me if he needed us to move the car. Uh, call me? When I'm at dinner or the beach?? I now have just read the other reviews and the bad ones are true... No doubt. Stay away and pay the extra $15 or $30 elsewhere. I know I will.

By far the filthiest room I have ever stayed in. No house keeping services at all!! Will never book a hotel in Seaside Heights again, will take my chances from now on, just go, check out rooms available, then pay my hard earned money to stay! Health officials really need to visit this place. Our room did have clean sheets, thank god! But they were flat sheets that barely fit the beds. The floor looked and felt like it hadn't been vacumed EVER! The trash can had a new trash bag, but when we took the trash bag out after filling it..I was disgusted with what I saw, guess where the smell in the room came from???? The bathrrom had not been cleaned, the floor was covered in sand, the toilet, tub and sink OMG...gross! we went to the store and bought cleaning supplies and asked management for a vacum. I wanted to leave right away but hey..suprise...no refund! The vacum would not pick up anything, my husband took it apart and the entire hose was completely clogged. The toilet? Well use your imagination....Shame on the Skyview Manor Motel owners for allowing people to pay for staying there! Beach one block away was the ONLY good thing, pool very, very dirty, windows so dirty you can barely see out..I guess that may have been a plus because the drapes were so faded and missing so many hooks It helped with privacy...This place was worse than bad...

This place was the dirtiest place I've ever stayed in. The room was filthy and the workers were rude. There is no parking and when you need to leave or want to go somewhere you have to call the person that is parked behind you so they move their car. It was definitely not some place I'd ever stay in again or recommend to someone!

Do Not Book This Hotel. We dubbed it the Skank View Manor Hotel. I have never stayed in a more filthy, discusting hotel. This place should be condemed. I have been going to Seaside for many years. Booked this based on pictures online. Yuk! and if you book and don't like it you are screwed. No refunds. They only have housekeeping every other day. Could have fooled me. Looked like they hadn't cleaned in years.

If your on a budget with family and wish to spend your money on the Amusements this motel is comfortable. We liked the swimming pool, the parking, it is one block to the beach and amusements. The motel is old and in need of a renovation so don't expect luxery accommdations. We found the staff to be very helpful and courteous. My suggestion is to bring your own cleaning supplies such as comet, bed linens would be helpful since there are no mattress covers on the beds and the sheets are flat sheets that don't cover the mattresses which are stained . The pillows are so flat you need to pile them all up to have one pillow. The refirg was clean and so was the micro but bring your own little coffee pot if you like an early morning coffee without going somewhere, oh and tolet paper bring a roll the office closes. The tolet seat had the appearance of not being changed in 20 years, it had a dark ring around the seat which did come off with comet, however I wasn't able to remove the ring around the tub. This motel would not get Good Housing Keeping Seal. The air conditioner worked fine, thats all I can say about that. I would recommend this motel as an econmical place to stay the pool was very clean and it is heated, the service top notch, special mention Alex at the front desk. You do get beach passes daily which is a savings of $5 a day per person and children age 11. You also get breakfast coupons for a nice place up the block, all and all you get what you pay for that's the way it is.
