Clean Room not fancy but the price wasn't either, Food in the little diner very good and staff was very friendly

This is the worst place I have stayed in my entire life. Roaches, holes punched in the paneling, tiles falling out of the ceiling, only one dim light worked, and a terrible smell. What a long, dreadful night. Should be closed by the Board of Health. Only redeeming factor was the location.

My night in this motel was probably the most unpleasant lodging experience I have ever spent. The old twin beds that my buddy and I slept on were uncomfortable and sloped towards the wall. There was no a/c in our room and the July night we spent there was hot and humid so falling asleep was difficult. Worst of all there was a crowd that sat in front of the diner until 1:30 in the morning making lots of noise that poured in through the one small window into the room. After a long day of biking on the Allegheny Passage Bike trail, I slept about an hour. There are two other places that would have likely been better, Yoders and Gram-Grams; both had air and other amenities that would have resulted in a better experience.

I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't pretend to be anything other that it is....After an all day bike ride in the rain we came to Meyersdale without a place to stay. We easily found Donges Drive-In Motel and took a room. 2 twin beds were clean and comfortable. Little restaurant at your feet served typical diner food with a warm friendly smile. Owner had hospitality gushing out of her. Don't let outward appearance set you back. This isn't a hotel chain. This is run by owner with her elbows deep into the service and business of operating this little oasis. If you are looking for cheap and easy this is it. Tip: ONE pancake will fill you up!

We stayed two nights in Meyersdale and the people at this little Motel were so friendly.......the service was excellent in the diner and our room was very nice.........not fancy but clean and affordable. We will stop back again as we travel on our bikes!

The food was excellent in this little diner and very affordable..you will not leave hungry! The waitress we had was so funny and very talkative. Our motel room was very clean and comfortable.
