The Lodge at Blue Lakes, Upper Lake

The Lodge at Blue Lakes is by far our favorite get-away destination. We just returned from our 4th visit this year, and are planning another stay in the fall. The rooms are literally steps away from a beautiful clear blue, no-wake lake--perfect for fishing, swimming and kayaking. The Lodge was recently renovated top-to-bottom by its new owners, with comfortable four-poster beds, modern bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs, satellite TV & radio,coffee makers, refrigerators and some kitchenettes. There are even rooms with fireplaces and Jacuzzis-for-two (we loved this room!). The rooms are spotless, and you just can't find clean, modern lodgings like this anywhere else on the lake. Away from the lake, we enjoy browsing the antique stores in Upper Lake and wine tasting at several local wineries. The new owners, the Schmids, are friendly and attentive hosts. Their transformation of The Lodge into a modern, comfortable resort shows their commitment to running a first-class property. We like everything about The Lodge at Blue Lakes,and highly recommend it to everyone seeking peace, quiet, relaxation and comfort in a beautiful lakeside setting.
