Matador Motel, North Wildwood

I have been making trips to Wildwood for the last 20 years and never gave North Wildwood much of a chance...until this year. Just like every other year I waited to the last possible moment to book a stay at the beach so I scan the internet for motels closest to the beach and boardwalk. I hit the jackpot with this motel ! Awesome location , Great pool, Friendly staff, and the price was fair ! I rented the townhouse which is next to the motel . If I could change anything about the policy I would change the 1 car per unit rule. I was in the bigger room that sleeps 6 and we had 4 adults / 2 children , so I had to find a place in the residental area to keep the 2nd car during our stay. We had one other minor issue which the staff quickly corrected. So overall this motel gets a thumbs up. I would absolutely book another vacation at the Matador !! PS.. Matador Owners...don't sell out to the Condo people !!!!!!! Thanks again, Todd

I have been going to this Motel over 20years, its the best one in wildwood, always to return. Clean, friendly, accomadating. Definitely recommendable

Right on the beach, right next to the boardwalk. You don't need to drive anywhere for anything. Pool is nice - the rooftop sundeck is nice, too, with a great view. Staff is friendly - just keep your valuables in a safe place since the rooms do not have safes...

I have stayed at the Matador several times and have not had a bad experience until this year. Someone took my diamond stud earrings off the dresser in the back bedroom. We (my sisters and I) left our rooom at 8:30 am for an hour, and I didn't think the maid service would be around that early. When we returned around 9:30 our rooom had already been serviced and my earrings were missing. I know there is not much the motel can do, but I felt the owner/manager did not believe me. The next day, the maid service did not come until after 4 pm. I happened to be just leaving the room when the girl came. She left the door open while she was servicing the room and two little girls from next door ran into the room and jumped into our beds in the back bedroom. The grandmother came into the room to get the girls. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't witnessed it. Any stranger can access your room and belongings when the maids leave the doors open and are in the bathroom freshening it up. It is very easy to see how things can be taken.

Stayed in June of 2007 and returning again this July with more family. Rooms are very clean and staff is friendly. Great location right on beach and boardwalk. Tram car for $2 the whole legnth of the board walk. There is a WaWa down the street which makes great hoagies and the Pink Cadilac Resturant is in driving distance and is a real throw back to the 50's. The front desk has a coupon book that offers discounts and free items such as b1g1 free fudge, water sports, whale watching...etc. Plan to go back every year.

My family has stayed at the Matador at least 15 different times. The view is great , the hotel is right on the beach. It's very convenient. It's right off the boardwalk so you never have to move your car. Everything is in walking distance. The rooms are clean and the staff is very helpful. Gary Dominicus

My family has stayed at the Matador a few times. The only problem we ever had was the air conditioning could not keep the room cool enough. Outside was 100+. They replaced our air conditioner twice, and finally the problem was fixed. They were great. Now they have installed central air so that will not be an issue. We will be returning again this summer with several other families. Always a great time. Great Owners & Staff.

THE HOTEL IS AT THE BEGINING OF THE BOARDWALK. YOU DONT HAVE TO MOVE YOUR CAR THE WHOLE TIME YOU ARE THERE.THE HOTEL IS CLEAN THE PEOPLE WERE NICE, THE POOL WAS FUN, WHAT MORE CAN YOU ASK FOR.

this Motel was very nice, first time going there, with my Family and enjoyed every day while we were down there.would defently go back again.
