Did not Find a Good Night's Sleep
My wife and I were looking for some cheap lodging for a weekend trip to Tahoe. All we needed was a place to sleep and not much else. This place seemed to fit the bill for basic accommodations for about $80.
The rooms, while not dirty, definitely feel old and used. The walls of our room were marked up and discolored in some areas, the paint on thecabinets was chipped, and there were places where the carpet was torn up. Again, nothing major but it felt more like someone's old back room in their house and not a clean motel room.
The reason why I give this place such a low rating is because all night long we heard a tapping sound. We could not pinpoint what was causing it, but it sounded like water drippingon a drum pad. We looked out the window and couldn't see anything dripping. Maybe it was the heater, but the sound did not go away after we turned it off. Anyway, it kept us up nearly all night. It was like trying to sleep while someone is constantly knocking on your door. For a place that basically offers a roof over your head and a place to sleep, not being able to fall asleep is a big problem.
The Asian woman at the front desk was very nice, but the place needs some major upgrades just to get it up to run-of-the-mill quality.
