Tahoe Villa North Lodge, South Lake Tahoe

Wondering what you are getting into? I'll have to start with the managers, (Cynthia & husband) were super awesome! My family and I came up for Hot August nights more than ten people and she accommodated us with side by side rooms when our reservation didn't place us as so. Note! do not book through online services to avoid hidden booking fees call her directly. The motel being sort of old but not run down and dirty, definitely not a flea bag! We've been vacationing in Tahoe since I was a kid so it made me appreciate the older spots, should remind you of how things used to be!(sandwich shops, buffets etc) Considering the weekend and events the rates were great and the location is even better about two block from Harvey's. Honestly folks I searched just about all the motels and read all their reviews but was still concerned about what kind of place we were going to sleep and shower in. Again it's sort of old but not run down and includes a refrigerator and microwave, the manager Cynthia is the best and really takes care of her tenants which made the stay even more enjoyable, try it!! We'll be back!!!!!!!

My wife and I were looking for some cheap lodging for a weekend trip to Tahoe. All we needed was a place to sleep and not much else. This place seemed to fit the bill for basic accommodations for about $80. The rooms, while not dirty, definitely feel old and used. The walls of our room were marked up and discolored in some areas, the paint on thecabinets was chipped, and there were places where the carpet was torn up. Again, nothing major but it felt more like someone's old back room in their house and not a clean motel room. The reason why I give this place such a low rating is because all night long we heard a tapping sound. We could not pinpoint what was causing it, but it sounded like water drippingon a drum pad. We looked out the window and couldn't see anything dripping. Maybe it was the heater, but the sound did not go away after we turned it off. Anyway, it kept us up nearly all night. It was like trying to sleep while someone is constantly knocking on your door. For a place that basically offers a roof over your head and a place to sleep, not being able to fall asleep is a big problem. The Asian woman at the front desk was very nice, but the place needs some major upgrades just to get it up to run-of-the-mill quality.

Tahoe Villa North is the best place to stay in Lake Tahoe. The owners are very good people! The rooms are very confortable, and clean. They have laudy area an a kitchen that you can use. They have a cyber area at the office, and you can use during the day!Very Good Option!
