Collier's Motel, Louisville

The room was nice after they renovated room. I wood like to come back because the room rate was low.

This place was filthy. The Shower Curtain was torn and had mold on it. The room smelled so bad that the scent penetrated my luggage. When I got home, I had to wash everything in the luggage. I sprayed the luggage with Lysol, sat it out in the sun for a few days and it still stinks! The room is extremely small. The air conditioner was putting out warm air. Anything a 3 star hotel offers....this does not!!! This place is reminds me of a place to go for a quickie.....better check the sheets to make sure they are clean! The mattress and box spring was covered with plastic. The plastic was dirty! I do not know who or why someone would give this place 3 stars. The only way it is any good is if there is nothing else in the area, it is storming outside, and wild dogs are ready to eat you!

We booked because of the wonderful online recommendations. Wow, what a mistake. Although the rate was inexpensive, you get what you pay for, in this case anyway. The first room we were given was previously used. We returned that key and got another...we should have kept the first room. The red wall behind the bed, the holes in the bathroom door (one from a fist and another, though "patched" up, obviously from a foot), only one lamp that worked...and the peculiar smell...worst of all, though, was the fact that the window did not lock because the lock was taken off....needless to say we left that room and went to the front desk to ask for a refund. We did get one, after the clerk asked us how long we were in the room, which was less than ten minutes. I would not recommend this motel at all, for anyone, at any time. Sleep in your car if you have to. I don't know who wrote the previous reviews, but perhaps they have this establishment mixed up with another!

The rooms are dated, but very clean. The Motel Keeper was friendly and knowledgable. He gave us several reccommendations on restaurants and places of entertainment.We were on vacation but trying to keep expenses down, it was great!
