Great overall experience

What a beautiful hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful. (outstanding customer service is hard to find these days, but was definatly present here) Our room was clean, the location was GREAT.The outdoor gardens and pool and area were a unexpectioned addition to our stay (we enjoyed them both. Best of all, this hotel was the best value in town. I don't know when we will return to chincoteagueisland but I know that we plan to stay at the blueheron inn -Fort Detrick again.

Great Blue heron inn

I was very pleasantly surprised by the Blue heron Inn. Having only seen it from the website and by the low price, I was prepared to "rough it". The hotel was in a great location. The room itself was not by any means luxurious, but very efficient. If you are looking for a hotel where you will be spending most of your time, then this isn't for you. But if you are looking for someplace quiet, clean, and reasonably price, than the Blue heron Inn fits the bill! The staff was friendly and helpful. My family and I would definitely stay here again. And i definitely recommend everyone to go in blue heron inn.

“Excellent hotel in perfect location"

We stayed at the Blueheron inn recently for 3 nights.The hotel is conveniently located on the main street, within close walking distance of shopping and restaurants. We found the room to be very clean with all necessary amenities, including a fridge and microwave. The hotel was clean and modern, and all staff were efficient and courteous. The hotel restaurant was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There were several comfortable seating areas outside and inside the hotel.and They have 2 ponies that were fun to pet each morning. The pool was nice, and they have a screened-in pavilion that can be used for cookouts. They have gas grills, an outside hose & crab pots for cooking fresh seafood. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the chincoteague.

The service was good and the staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. My room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. I appreciated the complimentary internet connection. The location was conveniently located near major lines of communication. The hotel offered a good breakfast.and I anjoy my stay in blueheron inn thank you.

“I LOVED MY STAY AT THE BLUE HERON INN!!!!”

I stayed at the Blue heron inn this past weekend and didn’t want to leave! Our Room was beautiful. Very clean and beautiful! Our bed was comfortable with tons of soft fluffy pillows, the bathroom was spotless stocked with plush towels, and beautiful decor. I was checked both in and out of the hotel that couldn't have been more polite. The staffs at any given time that you passed them in the hallway or lobby were polite and cheerful. You could tell that they were very proud of their hotel, as they should be. I can’t wait to return for another stay! Thanks for everything Blue heron inn, we had a great time!

Disgusted - BedBugs on one of the beds

Just stayed the weekend at the Blue Heron. We had stayed there before a couple years ago. We were VERY disappointed - the room had a terrible smell but the worst thing was BED BUGS! My husband felt something bite him during the night - looking with a flashlight we found several on the bed. Room 105 on the bed closest to the window. We told management the next morning when we checked out, don't know if they did anything?? Looked up bed bugs on the internet when we got home and confirmed it - now washing/drying everything and hoping we did not bring any home.

Love Everything and Will Go Back Again

Who cares about the over priced hotels as you come off the bridge...go down Maddox and find the best hotel on the island...everyone was friendly and the rooms were cleaner then my own house...also check out the grounds and the ponies...I and my sister will go back again and again...its worth more then they charge the jones sisters

First time visitor, will come back!

Picked the Blue Heron Inn just off the Computer with little pictures but was interested because it siad newly done rooms. The place is real nice for a small time hotel. No weird smells, clean and quiet. The staff was real nice, it's so close to everything! They give you a free breakfast coupon at Steamers Restaurant, use it, it's buffet style but you get to order your eggs, only pay for tip and drinks. It also has a great screened in room with 4 gas grills, picnic tables and fire pit. They have 3 gas pots to boil you "crab catches".
