Columbus Motor Inn, San Francisco

We just had a very nice stay here at the Columbus Motor Inn. It exceeded our expectations. I can't overstate how clean the facility is. The staff was very pleasant and easy to deal with. The information and advice they provided was reliable and better than average. We felt very safe in this hotel, and this area. It was a very convenient location, and was easy to access local transportation. I cannot think of a single negative aspect of this hotel. On our trip to California, this was the very best hotel experience that we had. The price is hard to believe , and an excellent value. You can stay at The Columbus Motor Inn with no hesitation. For the price of this hotel and the location, it was a steal! It was within walking distance to the Pier, and Little Italy. Couldn't have asked for a better location. It was relatively clean - my only complaint was that the carpet and the couch in our room were a bit worn and old looking. The staff was very accommodating and friendly with the exception of one cleaning person who was downright rude to us the day we were checking out. We met with her in the elevator and she apparently wasn't having a good day and decided to take it out on us! Other than that, the rest of the staff were very nice.

we have stayed here for the thwe past three years after flying in from the UK on route to Tahoe. the location is great and the rooms are spacious and clean. for a good quality hotel within walking distance to Fishermans Wharf and the cable car you can't get better than this! the Chandler family UK

Location, Location, Location that is the most importan ting. But it was also very clean and tidy everywhere. And it was so nice that we could park or car at the hotel parking lot. If we are going back to San Francisco we will stay here again

We chose this Inn because of the postive reviews that were written and we were not at all disappointed. This must be one of the best values in the area and I would also recommend this place as well as the others have. In addition it has free parking and wi-fi . Have a nice trip.

Location, Location, Location. You can't find a better location for your stay in San Francisco. Just minutes from Fisherman's Wharf, the bus stop is right outside the hotel, and the staff is outstanding. And, how can you beat the rates.

My sister and brother-in-law recently visited from Kansas City, Missouri. I live in San Francisco and looked at several hotels/inns before reserving a room for them at the Columbus Motor Inn. Noah, at the front desk, was great and very helpful. My relatives stayed 7 nights and loved the room and the staff! Their room was very clean, relatively quiet, had great views of Coit Tower and the Bay, and best of all, came with free parking! For out of towners who want the famous SF experience, without the Union Square hassles of panhandlers, nightly crime, aggressive crowds and loud urban noise, this is the only place to stay in SF! Thanks Columbus Motor Inn for making their first visit to SF a great one! This is definitely one of the best places to stay in SF for the location, the price, the safety, and the genuine hospitality.

This is a great place. We hve been going there for at least 10 years. It is so convenient. Once you park your car in the enclosed parking structure, you do not have to drive anymore. The public transportation is wonderful in San Francisco. The staff is great and they remember you from year to year. The rooms are beautiful and what a great view. You can walk to Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, take Columbus Avenue all the way through the Italain neighborhood and end up in Chinatown. The trolley is just a block away and even the Freeways out of town are close. The perfect little secret. One of my favorit places to visit, only wish it could be more often. We spent our honeymoon there and my only regret is that my husband away shortly after our last visit. It holds a world of memories for me. Thanks for all of those memories.

This is an exceptionally clean, well appointed, hotel, ideally located, on the transit line (Bus stop at the door and is one of the BEST values in San Francisco. I have utilized several of their properties for about 20 years and have NEVER received less than the best experiences while at one of their properties. The rooms are quite large, well furnished with quality Sumpter solid oak furniture. The halls, and rooms are well decorated, and Quiet. This is a well managed Hotel and the staff are superior in every way. They will take good care of you if you stay here. Many fine resturants are near by including scoma's at the warf. My highest recommendation in San Francisco. P.S. FREE enclosed, secure parking too (Very rare in SF!)

Very clean ,great service and location. The service was very pleasant, helped us find places to eat, directions and places to see. The rooms were very clean and tidy.
