The person that said my review might have been written by the managment is wrong! I live in Honolulu and come back to San Francisco every year to visit my Town, as I was born and raised here....and I choose to stay at the Monroe. I have found the price to be UNBEATABLE. Just try and find a cheaper place that includes 2 great meals a day. You wont. Believe me I have looked. The food IS good and a FULL salad bar too! This residence Club CANNOT be beat. You'll LOVE it.

it's been awhile but...

Well, I think the last glowing review may have been written by the management or owners of the Monroe itself. The thing that gives it away is the comment about the food. Yes, there are 2 meals, but it's chafing dish food that is cooked a few hours before it is served. It's located in a great spot, but there is no parking, so be prepared. It's clean enough. Also, most rooms and bathrooms are shared accomodations, so be prepared for that too. Price is ok, but there is definately better for the price.

The manager of the Monroe is crazy. Chases the female guests, abusive to the staff and rude to the guests I will never stay here again

Excellent place to stay

The Monroe residence Club was ideally located. You have everything you could possibly need in a two block radius. I banked on Polk St.,used the internet on Van Ness Blvd. (AND they have Free internet at the Monroe too!, and took the bus steps just away. How can you possibly beat Two delicious meals a day. (and I meam delicious) A nice cozy lobby. Big screen TV right off the lobby with free current movie showings several times a month (free popcorn too). The rooms are comfortable and the management friendly and helpful! You are located at the foot of Pacific Heights a really NICE area. I really enjoyed my stay and would adize anyone to stay here!!
