Sunny Cove Motel Apartments, Santa Cruz

To the individual who gave the one star rating....you need to chill out...this is Santa Cruz we're talking about! Calm Down stay away from Starbucks for a few hours. Two people run this place alone....clean rooms, remodel, fix broken things, shop for supplies, etc. leave a message, they'll call back. Jane is a gracious hostess, I have never heard her utter a disparaging remark about anyone, she has always treated all ofus with respect and courtesy, loved our pets as if they were her own. This place is special, and I imagine if you conveyed an angry demeanor over the phone, you shouldn't be surprised at the lack of response, you wouldn't fit in here!

I have been calling all day trying to make a reservation, all I get is their answering machine. How do they expect to get business if they don't even answer their phone?

Received top notch customer service from the manager, Jane, from the time the reservation was made to the day of departure -- she mapped out our route in detail, and called us enroute to determine when we would arrive so that she could make sure she would be available to check us in. Stayed three nights in June 2009. Hotel is clean and well maintained. There is a nice pool on the premises, but a great beach is only 10 minutes away. Terrific location -- within easy access of the University of California, the areas beaches, historic sites, restaurants, grocery stores, downtown Santa Cruz, the boardwalk and the freeways, while neighboring sights (Silicon Valley, Big Sur, Monterrey) are within half a days drive up or down the highway.. When I come back to Santa Cruz, I will definitely call Jane at the Sunny Cove Beach Motel.

The motel is a hop and a jump away from an amazing beach. The room itself is decorated in an older late 80's look. With great places to eat just around the corner. Overall it's a great place to stay with easy access to town.
