Alpen-Dorf Motel, Eureka Springs

My husband and I got married in Eureka Springs, and everyone that came to our wedding except us stayed at the Aplen-Dorf, the pictures online look beautiful, but when we got there it looked aweful, the pictures LIE, I was so disappointed! Now the Dinner Bell Ranch on the other hand was AMAZING!

Jimmy is a great guy,he's very hospitable and treats you like your in his house. He goes out of his way to accomadate you and your needs. He printed off area ride maps that I would have never found. I've been there twice now. The rooms are clean,A/C is cold, on the edge of town but yet close. It is very reasonable and well placed. Within 5 minutes you'll see breathtaking scenery.Definitely can't wait to get back.

The hotel has been recently purchased and is still in need of minor updates but the overall stay was wonderful. Jimmy the owner new our needs before we could even ask. There is a little aclove where you can have a fire and Jimmy would come out and light a fire in the evenings it was so romatic. Would highly recommend this hotel. Its on the outskirts of town so it is so peaceful.

Room was clean,cold A/C. New owner doing a good job,he was very polite and concerned that we had everything we needed. We will stay again.

at first glance it looks old but once inside the rooms we were pleased. jimmy made our stay wonderful. he was so polite to us. very courteous and thoughtful. it was our first time in eureka springs and when we come back we are staying with jimmy. i highly recommend this motel to all. the price was right and the view was beautiful. we have stayed at lots of hotels and motels as we are vendors who travel around the south. and again, i have to say, jimmy puts the others to shame because he knows how to treat a guest. THANKS JIMMY!!!!

no cleaning service, spiders on wall, malfunctioing a/c, overall looks like a condemned property inside fixed up enought to make a buck. Does not even qualify for the lowest rating, website is deceiving.

Just wanted to report a wonderful stay we had at the Alpen Dorf Motel. The "do it all" manager was very friendly and extremely accomodating. The room was large and very clean, the bed was comfortable with crisp, clean sheets, and the jacuzzi tub was HUGE, more than big enough for two adults! Great stay made even better by a wonderful experience. We'll be back!

We stayed here for two nights, quiet place, well lit at night.The room was VERY clean and nicely furnished.The owner was extremely courteous and helpful throughout our stay,a very pleasant man to visit with who is concerned with the comfort of his guests.He is in the process of getting the trolley to run to his motel which will make it an even better place to stay than it already is.He is also making some renovations to things that the previous owners neglected and it is coming along nicely.Give it a try if you want great service and a nice clean room at a reasonable price.

The full sized suite we stayed in was infested with spiders. Spiders crawling out of pillowcases, the couch, the closets, EVERYWHERE. Upon discussing the problem with the owner soon after our arrival, I was told to "smack 'em" if I saw them. Right. The owner only refunded one night of my two night reservation (we turned tail and didn't stay for more than an hour...mostly looking for spiders the whole time). We asked around town about the place, and the new owner (in addition to the old owners) have a very bad reputation with other hotel/motel/b&b owners.

Wonderful place to stay. Reasonably priced, very clean, quite and safe, well lighted. Very sincere and personal service 24/7 by owner. Only four miles from center of Eureka Springs. Lovely pool which is solar heated and very clean. My place to stay in Eureka Springs and The Alpen Dorf welcomes everyone.
