I LIKE EVERYTHING! ITS REALLY BEAUTIFUL ! THE STAFF IS GREAT AND THE ROOMS ARE VERY CLEAN! WHEN I GOT THERE MARRY WAS REALLY NICE TO ME AND SHE HELP ME!!! I WILL GO THERE AGAIN CAUSE EVERYTHING THERE WAS PERFECT! NEW YEARS WAS GREAT IT WAS QUITE ! I LOVE THE OLD NEVADA AND THE ZOO! ITS WORTH THE MONEY AND THE TIME!!
After a day of hiking in Red Rock Canyon coming back to this peaceful, quiet motel was just what we needed. We ate in the restaurant and were surprised at the great food. My husband says ask for RIBS!! Our room was super clean and kinda 70's in design, but we loved it. I slept great, listening to the burros call out in the night and waking to the most glorious view ever! The employees are really nice, friendly and down to earth, unlike most casinos on the strip. You should give this place a try, you too will be surprised & pleased!
I went to Bonnie Springs last week an I had to say what a great place for the whole family. I really enjoyed seeing all the animals an the cowboy shows they had going on! The food was also more than I expected! We also got to ride the train all the staff was so nice an i would recommend to anyone!
I read some of the reviews and dissapointed in the responces. I have been to Bonnie Springs. I found the hotel nice and peaceful and the staff was polite to me. I seen some comments about it being dirty. After all it is a western town, how do you think western towns looked back in the old days. I thought the people played thier parts very well. I have been there 4 times and intend to go back in October. Thanks to the staff, keep up the good work.
I recently went to Bonnie Springs after reading a positive review in one of the many guidebooks. I was very disappointed, however, and have intentions of contacting the local health department and humane society about some of the things observed. The town itself is very rundown and the limited food services that are available are not even up to minimal standards. The most disturbing problem for me was the petting zoo. The animals appeared very poorly cared for and lacked basic necessary needs, such as clean water. Furuther, the cages were overrun with mice and the rodents could be seen running around everywhere. There was also a wild, mangy deer running around free that appeared to be very ill. If I had small children I would be fearful that they could be bitten. I am just shocked that this place has not been shut down. It is an awful, awful place and any review that is remotely positive should be disregarded.
This was a pitiful excuse for an Old Nevada town. The shooting range had no functioning guns, there was no wax museum and the actors for the melodrama clearly wanted to be anywhere except on that grungy stage. This place is a filty joke. Keep your money!
My husband and I have a Harley. It is a great day ride. I have run into Bonnie a few times, wow what a great lady! It has been my pleasure to visit Bonnie Springs for the past 20 years. And the restruant if fun and everyone is friendly and food is great. I enjoy the ride out to Bonnie Springs, and the the people. Thanks Bonnie for the many years of seeing the love you have for the animals God bless!!
I'm sorry to the folks at Bonnie Springs Old Nevada. I understand that you people are just trying to make a living and I don't want to get in the way of that, but....
I am from New York and have traveled to Las Vegas for My first anniversary with my wife. After a week of casinos and whatnot, I decided to rent a car and take my wife to an old western town. When we arrived, I had to use the bathroom really bad. I asked where it was and the only person around pointed the way. I entered the bathroom and went in the stall only to find fecal matter all over the seat. Very dissapointing and set the stage for the rest of the day. The website makes this place look like a well maintained, fun place. This place is rundown, falling apart and not kept up. There is nothing to do in this place. The petting zoo is a joke. All they have there is penned up roosters and some poor kangaroos. The pond there looks blue on the website, well you can imagine how green it was when I saw it. They did have some nice peacocks though. Well thats all I have to say, but right around the way is Red Rock canyon and it has a nice 13 mile driving trail and some very nice hiking trails for your enjoyment should you want exercise.
Bonnie Springs is rustic, but the rooms were clean, the pool was not so clean, which was bad because you are traveling with kids. We had decided to make the best of it, and spend the night.
Unfortunately, a wanderer appeared out of nowhere and engaged in a verbal disagreement because my husband wouldn't allow our 16 year old son to go with her to look for a cat she lost several days before. Security was slow to respond, and the woman got locked in the pool with us.
We were told she kept coming back for the last 3 days because she was a guest and had felt that housekeeping had let her cat out. Regardless, during the arguement with my husband she told him "You were the one giving me a hard time yesterday". Then she circled our hotel rooms several times.
Folks you are in the middle of nowhere. We left. I can't understand why a business that is intended for families would allow this womnan to harrass guests for 3 days. Additionally, they wouldn't refund our money, and they didn't give us our deposit back. The hotel was deserted, I would have to assume what we experienced isn't the exception, but is the rule.
