Scenic Motel, Townsend

You wouldn't believe the changes made to this motel. First off, they changed the name to Townsend Lodge. All the rooms have been re-decorated in beautiful antique furniture. New carpet and the walls have been paneled. It is a very elegant, homey feel when you step into a room. The manager is extremely nice and literally goes out of her way to make you feel at home. The rates are cheapest in Townsend. If you think of staying elsewhere while in town, you'd be making a huge mistake.

The owners of Riverstone Lodge purchased this location in 2008 and have added special touch to everything. Even the large deck with firepit for their fabulous nightly campfire. If your looking for a low rate and a nice place then you don't have to look any further.

SEPTEMBER OF 2008 THERE IS NEW OWNERS AT SCENIC MOTEL. THEY HAVE REALLY DONE ALOT OF WORK. SO DON'T PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THE OLD COMMENTS ON HERE BEFORE THE YEAR 2008. COME AND ENJOY YOURSELF. VERY FRIENDLY PEOPLE AND FAMILY ORIENTED PLACE.

I had so much fun on our vacation that I just have to share it with everyone. Scenic Motel was so much fun. Just to think we almost passed this place up, but we went back and got a room. We are so glad we did. Sitting at the firepit getting to know others. We all made Smores! The other reviews below are no longer the same people. These people just got it last September, 2008. They have done alot of work and they say they are not through making the place nicer. I don't see how they can make it much nicer. THE ROOM WAS SO CLEAN, very BIG plus as we all know. Lady at the desk was real nice, she even joined us at the fire on the deck for a while. Anyway FYI, don't pass it up, they really make you feel like you are at home. Have a great vacation, If you stay here I know you will.

We went to Townsend to check out a chapel there and stayed the night at the Scenic Motel and my God it was horrid. The room hadn't been cleaned in months and their was bugs in the bed. The walls were paper then and it had no real ammenities. This motel was well below my expectations
