If you are not into staying at the casinos with their crap service and crap food, the Bay Shore is a great place to stay. We were in Laughlin for the regatta, and typical for us we booked late for accommodations, and we are not into the casino thing. The Bay Shore rate was $45.00 a nite, and we stayed for two nights. I had some concern as they do not take your credit card upon reservation booking. But, Audrey, the desk clerk assured us our room stay was confirmed. Upon arrival at the property, Audrey was delightful in getting us checked in which took all of 5 minutes. They use real room keys not the electronic. The room was a tad outdated, but roomy and very very clean. We were thirty paces from the Lazy River Lounge, located on the property, where we met and became good friends with Crystal, the lovely mixologist. We also met David, their part-time maintenance man who lives on the property. In fact, this property is home for many of the casino workers. The only draw-back is there is NO restaurant on the property. However, the locals and employees were our best resource for dining. The property sits alongside the Colorado River, complete with a boat launch, wildlife, barbecue, pool, hot tub, free coffee in the am, video poker, free pool tables, bus-stop right in front of property, and employees who are proud of where they work, and who remember your face and name. We had the pleasure of meeting and actualling talking with other folks visiting the area, and visiting with the locals who live there, who by the way were very very nice. We were welcomed and remembered the entire time we were there. Check out is a breeze, Just return your keys. To Audrey, Crystal, David, and the locals, thanks for a wonderful stay. We will return to the Bay Shore. For reference, we found a couple of places via recommendation, to dine: Daniel's at the Regency Casino. The Regency sits on Casino Drive between the Edgewater and the Aquarius. Wonderful sandwiches and great prime rib. You have access to the riverwalk. Also, the Bonanza Cafe in Mohave Crossing. The best breakfast we have ever had. Both locally owned. I am all about supporting the small business man in this casino driven area. In addition, you like Karaoke? Riverside Casino offers it and its a fun fun time. Great sound system, great music selection. The bartender there was great as well. Thanks again to the Bay Shore folks for making our Laughlin stay great and comfortable! Bruce and Danny will be back!
