Loved it!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/16/11
If you are not into staying at the casinos with their crap service and crap food, the Bay Shore is a great place to stay. We were in Laughlin for the regatta, and typical for us we booked late for accommodations, and we are not into the casino thing. The Bay Shore rate was $45.00 a nite, and we stayed for two nights. I had some concern as they do not take your credit card upon reservation booking. But, Audrey, the desk clerk assured us our room stay was confirmed. Upon arrival at the property, Audrey was delightful in getting us checked in which took all of 5 minutes. They use real room keys not the electronic. The room was a tad outdated, but roomy and very very clean. We were thirty paces from the Lazy River Lounge, located on the property, where we met and became good friends with Crystal, the lovely mixologist. We also met David, their part-time maintenance man who lives on the property. In fact, this property is home for many of the casino workers. The only draw-back is there is NO restaurant on the property. However, the locals and employees were our best resource for dining. The property sits alongside the Colorado River, complete with a boat launch, wildlife, barbecue, pool, hot tub, free coffee in the am, video poker, free pool tables, bus-stop right in front of property, and employees who are proud of where they work, and who remember your face and name. We had the pleasure of meeting and actualling talking with other folks visiting the area, and visiting with the locals who live there, who by the way were very very nice. We were welcomed and remembered the entire time we were there. Check out is a breeze, Just return your keys. To Audrey, Crystal, David, and the locals, thanks for a wonderful stay. We will return to the Bay Shore. For reference, we found a couple of places via recommendation, to dine: Daniel's at the Regency Casino. The Regency sits on Casino Drive between the Edgewater and the Aquarius. Wonderful sandwiches and great prime rib. You have access to the riverwalk. Also, the Bonanza Cafe in Mohave Crossing. The best breakfast we have ever had. Both locally owned. I am all about supporting the small business man in this casino driven area. In addition, you like Karaoke? Riverside Casino offers it and its a fun fun time. Great sound system, great music selection. The bartender there was great as well. Thanks again to the Bay Shore folks for making our Laughlin stay great and comfortable! Bruce and Danny will be back!

Great Value! Better than expected...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/10
I was a little worried at first because the price was so cheap for a weekend, but we didnt have a choice. It was short notice and EVERYONE else was sold out. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean- although outdated- and it had a nice pool and nice park like area the went to the water. We were very pleased and will stay there again! Only complaint is the A/C was not turned on, lucky for us, we checked in, turned it on, and had to leave for a few hours. It was cool when we got back, but would have much rather the room been cool when we arrived, it was 110 degrees outside! It is a little far from "the strip" but we were there for the water, not the casinos, so it was ok for this trip.

Id rather stay on the strip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/09
Its okay. Just got back, but the phones from room to room didnt work. they didn't have ice. the television was small and the sun alway woke me up bcuz the drapes didn't cover the window. Its not a place to spend more than two days. It did have a small refrigerator. very clean. averaged out it cost the same to stay on the strip.

Favorite Place to stay.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/25/09
I always stay at the Bay Shore when visiting Laughlin. It's a great place and the people are friendly once you get to know them. The bar seems to have a large turnover so I never know one from one time to another. I heard the restaurant closed down I hope not it was great. Must be a busy place the last few times I've called I couldn't get a room.

Inn of the macabre
By angry ant, 2/12/08
We made reservations based on some internet reviews promising a decent place with reasonable rates, far enough yet close enough to Casino row in Laughlin and the clincher a boat launch. The desk clerk, I will call her Frau Bluker, mentioned the availability of their "Special" room. I said "Special" sounds great. The room was special allright - with blood red carpet, a four poster bed with a wild velour spread and a huge Gargoyal armoir. It looked like a room right out of The Haunting. The boat lauch require a 4 wheel drive trailer. We booked 3 days, stayed one and ran for home.
