the manager was very rude-the girl at the desk-didnt know anything-not even english hardly--the only good thing was the maint. guy who helped us.we do not remember his name but he had long hair and was helpfull.

I have stayed at Southern Suites several times when traveling on business. They have new management and this hotel is very nice and the staff are always excellent. Give them a try. The price is right also.

the rooms where nasty the carpets are covered with dirt,the air units smelled like it was burning,the tv's are blurred,the towels looked flithy my room was leaking water from ceiling .my water was cut off for a day while i was visiting . the only thing that was pleasant was the female working the front was helpful and nice.whoever is running this hotel should be fired.i'll never be back

The minute we got to this hotel, I knew there was gonna be something wrong with it but since I was low on cash, I couldn't pick where we'd be staying during our time in Spartanburg. It was exactly the way I expected it to be--the room was not very clean, the bathroom looked terrible, there were stains in the tub that would not come out. It just did not look appealing. There were 3 of us sharing this room and we requested there be 2 beds but when we walked into the room, there was only one bed and a recliner. When we went back to the front office to tell them about this, it was closed. So one of us ended up having to spend an uncomfortable night on a recliner. The bed was not much better, it was hard and uncomfortable. Worst of all, after we returned home, my boyfriend started noticing little bumps beginning to appear all over his arms and legs. We went to the emergency room and the first question asked was if we had stayed in a hotel lately (this was the one we stayed in). Come to find out, we had contracted scabies from sleeping on dirty sheets. I will never stay in this hotel or another one like it again! And I advise others to stay away.
