We stopped and asked if they had a room that would allow a small dog. They had a room and after I was quoted a rate (not that reasonable, either) I asked to see the room. As soon as I asked to see the room all hell broke loose! The clerk, who was Asian with bad teeth, got very aggressive and told me to leave. I was taken completely by surprise. He came from around the counter and shoved me out the office door and slammed it behind me. Geez. I'm glad I asked to see the room before I paid. I'm sure I would have had a hard time getting my money back if I would have paid. Step on the gas when you go by this place. Crazy person on duty!
After all, "Budget" is in the name. Our room had no problems and appeared to have been recently renovated. It looked like all the rooms had been renovated. We did not have any noise problems at all. Granted, the person who checked me in did not speak great english, but how many motel owners do these days? He was very, very friendly. (Note: He was Asian, not Middle-Eastern.)

My girlfriend came up for the weekend and stayed here but the toilet tank had a high pressure problem which flooded the floor and carpet at the bathroom entry. The night manager (hard to understand what he was saying) fixed the pressure problem and wiped up most of the water, but it was still wet in the bathroom floor and outside the bathroom in/on the carpet. I felt it would have been good business sense to have her move to another room with everything working.
