going back for my third year in november over thanksgiving got a thank you from jerry booked in march reading all the rest say's it all 10 out of 10 a real hidden gem

My spouse and I stayed here for 5 days 4 nights, we would like to share our wonderful experience we had at Jerry's. The motel is located quite conveniently from town, although bus switches are required to get to tourist sights, depending on which sight seeing places you wish to visit. In any case, most scenic sights and theme parks are located pretty far away from most hotels. Otherwise, the overall experience in this motel is FANTASTIC. A 2-star lodging with a 5-star service. The bed is comfortable, the TV is huge that comes with many channels, and, importantly, the service is EXCELLET. Mrs Jerry, her son, and daugther, were all so helpful in making our stay there an unforgetful one. Mrs Jerry is always checking on us if we need help, or additional stuffs, and even asked if we need any food during our arrival on the 1st night as we had arrived later in the evening than what was initially arranged. She even went out of the way to accompany us to a nearby shop to check on some bus pass rates, and directed us which bus stop to get onto. Her son even helped arrange and coordinate a shuttle to the airport for us. Her daughter also helped us with our food ordering when we had difficulty dialing in to the telephone codes. When have you come across a lodging service that is so hospitable and warmth, with almost practically the whole family involved? Here, at Jerry's, is the place. There may not be a bath tub in the toilet, or a giant live-in space, or fantastic panaromic window view, but hey, the service here beats all. You definitely don't get service staffs from 4/5 stars lodging often checking if you are fine, would you? My spouse and I will definitely come back, should we visit LA again. We stayed in Jerry's motel for 3 nights in late december and had a very comfortable stay. the room was large enough for a couple and child (roll away bed had been arranged even though we had not specifically requested for it). very clean and location in downtown convenient as the nearest metro station is a 10 minute walk. the breakfast was basic (cereals,coffee, fruit etc.), but variety in cereals was given everyday. what is special is the owner's hospitality. we were literally treated like family and that made our stay very special. thank you for making our trip to LA so comfortable and memorable. we will definitely be coming back!!

We visited LA from Japan and stayed for 2 weeks in Jerry's motel in August/Sept 2009. It is conveniently located to go anywhere in LA by car, the room facilities were simple but clean and satisfactory (fridge, microwave, cable TV, hair drier, ...) and on top of those, the personal, at-home help/services provided by the owner (Mr.Jerry) and his family were excellent. We frankly never expected this type of at-home services at travel accommodations in large cities in US, but we realized (luckily) that this was a big misunderstanding. We would surely like to stay again in Jerry's motel next time we go to LA again, and recommend our friends to use this motel who are interested in true at-home service and atmosphere rather than luxury facilities. I am from Montreal and I went to LA to attend a conference. I was definitely looking for a hotel close to downtown. In the end, Jerry's motel proved to be much more than a great location and the proximity to downtown. Jerry and his family are very friendly and helpful people. The service was excellent. I definitely recommend this place, the hospitality and the location can make your stay very pleasant and enjoyable.

I found this place online and decided to go with it because it seemed cheap and close to downtown. I'm from Oregon, so I wasn't expecting the vastness of the city. It's hard to find one particular location to stay, but downtown gave us access to many transportation hubs. I'll admit that when we arrived, the neighborhood was a little questionable, but the owner was unbelievably nice and helpful. The rooms are small but clean, and the free wireless internet is nice for tourists trying to plan. Our 3 day stay was a success, so I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone on a budget looking for a cheap little place to stay in downtown Los Angeles.
