This place was the worst!! I should of just stayed in downtown LA at skid row!!! This is definatly a no tell motel, didn't get a good nites sleep for the 3 nites we were there..I should of got the hint when we checked in,I had made reservation for a king bed, when we checked in the desk clerk asked "are you sure, you better look at it 1st".If it wasn't Winternationals weekend, we would of went else where if we could of found a room..The sheets & towels were dirty, there were bugs in the bathroom, when we turned on the heat we both got dizzy.
We recently stayed at the Lemon Tree Hotel, and the location and value can't be beat. However, the bedspread was filfty, as was the chair, as was the carpet. If you're on a low budget this is not a bad deal, just take your own sheets/pillow cases and bring shower shoes. Free internet, and a small desk area to work from.
If it wasn't for the fact that I didn't have time to find another place to stay; in an area I wasn't familiar with; I would have immediately checked out. The only thing that was clean in the room were the sheets & towels. The furniture, blanket, bedspread, carpet, upholstered chairs, etc. were, without exaggeration, filthy!
The exterior of the building was attractive with the well landscaped grounds and was nicely painted with a pretty white fence, truly disguising what I was to find inside the room. I was later told that the place also had a reputation as a "No-Tell Motel"
Why are they allowed to operate like this?
What I most liked about this place was the location. It wasn't a busy street and it was quiet. The only thing I had a problem with was that we had made reservations for a non smoking room and ended up in a smoking one because it smelled so bad in there. I guess overall it was o.k. We only stayed one night on our visit to the L.A. county fair. Prices were reasonable.
