Sand Dunes Motel, Kure Beach

My family and I have stayed at The Sand Dunes for over 15 years. It is the best place to stay on Kure Beach! The rooms, pool and other areas are always clean. Any issues, which are few, that ever came up were addressed very quickly by the friendly staff. It is a very family oriented place. It’s within walking distance of great places to eat and to enjoy the pier. The ocean views are magnificent. Our most recent trip this month was great! I loved the suite that we stayed in. Lots of room for my wife, our 4 year old and I. I can’t think of a better place to spend our vacation.

This was our second year visiting the Sand Dunes Motel. We used to go to Myrtle Beach but hated the crowded beaches and wanted something more relaxing. We stumbled on the Dunes by accident, and after the first visit it was exactly what we were looking for. The price was right and we were able to add a couple of extra days to our vacation. The room was clean and comfortable and had a little kitchenette which was nice. I loved sitting on the deck and watching the wind surfers. I might even try it next year, (can you hear my husband laughing). Anyway, waking up to the sunrise and walking the beach at sunset was nice and romantic. The best part was listening to the waves lull you to sleep. Wish I was there now. The staff at the Dunes was so nice and friendly they made you feel as if you have known them for years. I noticed they were doing some updating of the rooms when we were there in June. Can’t wait till we go back next year. We really enjoyed our vacation at the Sand Dunes in Kure Beach.

NO DISLIKES, VERY FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS STAFF. THEY ALL MADE OUR STAY VERY ENJOYABLE. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE REVIEW ABOUT GETTO AND OTHER THINGS FROM SOMEONE IS A QUESTION TO ME, WHY DIDNT YOU CHECK OUT THINGS BEFORE YOU WENT. I PLAN MY STAY AND CHECK ON SPECIFIC THINGS ABOUT MY VACATION IN WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR AND DOES THE PLACE OFFER WHAT IM LOOKING FOR TO ENJOY MY TRIP. SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE DIDNT PLAN VERY WELL OR WANTED SOMETHING FOR NOTHING OR THEY WERE LOOKING FOR SYMPATHY AND A REASON TO DOWN GRADE THE SAND DUNES AT KURE BEACH. DO ALL OF US A FAVOR, IF THIS IS THE KIND OF PERSON YOU ARE, DONOT COME BACK TO THE SAND DUMES, WHEN YOU RUN SAND DUNES DOWN YOU ARE DISCREDITING EVERYONE THAT LOVES THIS MOTEL AND WE DEFINITELY DONT NEED SOMEONE LIKE YOU TO BE THERE WITH US CUSTOMERS THAT LOVE THE SAND DUNES. AGAIN I SAY YOU BETTER CHECK OUT YOUR ITENIARY BEFORE YOUR TRIP, UNLESS YOU THOUGHT YOU WOULD GET YOUR MONEY BACK BY COMPLAINING.

My family has been going to Kure Beach for the past 14 years and we always stay at the Sand Dunes Motel! The beach is great and has a family atmosphere! The Sand Dunes is clean and tidy and the employees are friendly, kind and helpful. It's a short walk to the pool or the beach! A great place for a family vacation away or a weekend get away!!!

You couldnt find any better Motel in Kure Beach than the Sand Dunes Motel. I have been going to Kure Beach for many years and in the last 20 yrs or so we stay at Sand Dunes because there is no place that the people are so nice and friendly and it is a family beach was and still is today. Every year my parent took us to Kure Beach for our summer vacations and are family still goes there once a year and it is to the Sand Dunes. I would like to reply to the person that called it Horrible Horrible Horrible ghetto must be talking about another motel or they just wanted something for nothing. If you wanted a 5 star Motel go up in to wilington. As far as the plywood that was painted you know are what you call up grades to be done and that has to be done every year. Stilling towels boy that should tell these other motel be aware. You go Sand Dunes we will be back we love the family settings and I promise we will not still your towels. Who wants people like that there not me. There is no dislikes at the Sand Dunes for me...LOVE IT LOVE IT.

This hotel was so ghetto! The accomodations sucked. They screwed plywood over a spot in the wall and painted it. The beds were hard as brick! The doors had wood splitting in the jams. The tv had a terrible picture it would flash from fuzzy to kind of clear back to fuzzy. If you choose to leave a day early you do not get a refund! You had to steal towels because they would not give out extra towels. I will not be going back!

sand dunes is the most wonderful place to stay at the beach. over the years it has run down somewhat, but it is still just like home to us and there is no other place I want to be. we go every year sometimes twice. the kids enjoy it although there isnt alot for them to do. its more of a fishing community but its OK!!! we absolutely love it and will continue to return as long as the lord allows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
