Floyd's Motel, North Myrtle Beach

This is a great mom and pop motel! Ed and Pat are wonderful people; kind and gracious! We originally booked a single room with 2 beds but they gave us a room with a second bedroom (with a half bath) to better accomodate my 4 children. That's what you call southern hospitality! The rooms were clean, the kitchen was immaculate and really, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! We would definitely stay here again!! Thanks to Ed and Pat for a short but sweet mini vacation!!!

Love to stay at Floyd's. Its an older motel a block off the beach but it is clean, quiet and very comfortable. Ed and Pat do a great job of taking care of their customers. I have never had a problem with noisy or rowdy neighbors when staying there. It is conveniently located to shopping and attractions. Great place for Shaggers. The rates are great year round. Check it out on your next trip to NMB. Ed & Pat love Eastern North Carolina BBQ.

Floyd's is the place to stay. Ed and Pat have been running this place for many years. The accommodations are great and the service is fantastic. Beds are comfortable, everything is clean and most important everything works. Ed there to fix anything that may be an issue. Never had an problem with noisy or rowdy neighbors. Plenty of free parking and it's just a short walk from the beach. Then you have all those places to visit just around the corner at NMB. Don't miss Hoskins restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Oh yea, bought forgot the most important, the rates are great. It's the best bang for your buck!

We just returned from our regular July stay in North Myrtle Beach. The description from the owner is spot on. It is a very short walk to the ocean and just a couple of blocks from historic Main Street and the nightly carnival on the beach. Our room was exactly what we needed with a fully stocked kitchen and a kitchen table that seated six perfectly. The owners are very gracious and will help you become familiar with the area with great suggestions from eateries to places to visit and things to do. Definite perk to have locals own and run the place you stay.

What is not to like about Floyd's? It is like stepping back into time, how Ocean Drive is supposed to be. A quaint spot for the beach lover who wants to relax, enjoy the front porch and rocking chairs, and get some good sun! A short walk across the street takes you to a beautiful beach and a short 3 block walk takes you to the sights and sounds of Main Street, Ocean Drive. The home of the Shag!

Talk about southern hospitality!! This is it!! Uncle Ed and Aunt Pat really know the meaning and will stop at nothing to see that you are truly satisfied with your stay!! Super nice folks and very dear friends. A Must Visit!! Thanks again E&P -- Ray and Jacky

The owners are the nicest people I have every met. I would recommend staying at this Motel. My husband and I plan to return next summer for our vacation. One block from the beach and it doesn't get any better then this..... We love Floyd's Motel !

My favorite place is Floyd's motel in North Myrtle Beach. South Carolina. I just returned from a stay there and was so impressed with the hospitality offered by the owners. It made me feel like was part of the family, and reminded me of staying in a Bed and Breakfast at the beach. A family I met there has been returning for about 50 years. That really says something about what kind of place this is. I even saw the owner wash one of the guest's cars! I can hardly wait to return again soon!:):):)
