STAY AWAY!
By ,
1. Dangerous for a single young woman 2. Deposit was not returned after repeated requests over a month past date it was due to be returned. 3. Rooms have open toilet & shower in the small room and are not well maintained 4. Staff is unfriendly and unresponsive to questions 5. NOT worth the low price since you get a tiny room in an area with street people and druggies

Pros and Cons
By ,
I was forced to stay here after my apt bldg converted into an unaffordable condo. Thank God, I was NOT homeless. To be objective, here's my pros and cons of the Peachtree Inn. PROS: within walking distance of Horton Plaza, movies, borders, banks, post office, kinkos, all public transportation, etc. Weekly rent, cable included. CONS: internal noise (fellow tenants) and external (sirens). Tenants are mostly ex-convicts, mentally ill, physically disabled, etc. Police arrive at least once a week. No privacy. No a/c. Small rooms like prison cells. Loitering on steps and handicap ramp. Front desk (under Brenda) not responsive to repairs. Oh -- cockroaches, bed bugs etc were fierce -- which is I why I moved out.

It was a perfect stepping stone for me..
By ,
Being downtown was great close to everything and what wasn't close the bus or trolley were available. The rooms are a little small but I did not have allot. The move in special was GREAT less than 500 to move in. The staff was the best part of my stay, they are on top of things and were always helpful. I don't blame the staff for the actions of others but they do have thier hands full around there. I would stay again if I had to. It's not as bad as some of these people have written. But to each thier own.

COCKROACHES!!!!!
By ,
This place is INFESTED! Also, my only sink clogged and my only toilet was broken--and despite my complaints, nobody came to fix it until 36 hours later! This place is a SLUM! Ninety percent of the people here are elderly and/or disabled with nowhere else to go. And yes, the rooms are tiny. Not only that, there is no dividing wall for the bathroom! If you come with a roommate/partner, expect NO privacy when you need to "go"!! If you have a choice, RUN. Don't rent from here!!!

Great Downtown Location!!!
By ,
If you like to live in the downtown area I would highly recommend the Peachtree Inn. The Peachtree Inn is unlike any other residential hotel in the downtown area. All the utilities are included in the rent, that’s right your water, electricity, and cable, and they have the premium channel HBO. The only thing that you have to pay for is the phone and laundry service. Someone is at the front desk 24 hours a day to answer any questions or concerns. You can also pay your rent on a weekly or monthly basis depending on your pay dates. The rooms are fully furnished with a microwave and refrigerator, a bed, and a television there is a sink with a garbage disposal and a ceiling fan. There are dresser drawers and a space for hanging clothes, and most importantly you have your own private bathroom which is uncommon downtown. Housekeeping cleans your room once a week. They have computers specifically for the residents, and wireless internet service in the Patio area. You basically can not beat the price and the service of the staff. When you want to go out and have fun you just walk three blocks and your right in the center of the Gaslamp. If you’re a Padres fan Pecto park is also within walking distance. Again if you like the downtown area Peachtree Inn is great.

I like it there
By ,
I lived at Peach Tree for about a year. Compared to the other places I looked at, it worked well for me. There was a problem with customer service at first but they changed management and it got better. rooms are small, but price was great. I liked being able to walk to work and catch a bus when I needed to go away from downtown. Best part was low deposit and being able to pay by the week.

I was there in 2000!
By ,
From what I remember, the place was nice. I needed a place to stay real bad and found this one. The rooms were small, but the only good thing about it was that it has cable included with the rent.

cheap!
By ,
I lives in this inn for several months, being that I couldn't afford any other housing in San Diego. I lived in Tijuana briefly as well. Although it wasn't very clean, it was the only place I could afford at the time. The others living there were kind, but the laudry room also scared me! You have do do what you have to do when your down on your luck!!!

Don't stay here!!!
By ,
I was relocating from a different state and found the Peachtree Inn online. It looked like a great inexpensive place to stay while I looked for a more permanent location. When I arrived it seamed to be what I expected; small. After a few hours thou I then realized it was very dirty, smelled very bad, trash was pilled high outside the garbage chute, and they seam to have a cockroach problem. I paid for a month but after about 4 nights of not sleeping, being scared to take a shower, and refusing to do my laundry, I found another place. This was about three months ago and I have yet to receive my deposit back from them. I wouldnt recommend staying there at all!

Peachtree Inn - San Diego
By ,
Very small rooms. Compared to a Motel 6 room it is about 25% of the size. No good for couples. Bed is uncomfortable. Close to downtown hot spots. No a/c! Excellent security and underground parking.
