Mid Continent Inn, Greenwood

I loved this place. Its kind of hidden right outside of Shreveport. Its only one exit away from Shreveport but its worth the drive. Their rooms are fair priced and very clean. The staff was very courteous. They gave us extra towels immediately since we needed them for the pool. The managers said they had just remolded the pool and it looks great. It was a fun stay for me and my family.

It was great price and location. Bad service they act like your getting on there nerves if you ask for anything and most likely they are going to say they dont have it whether its an extra pillow ect.There were several crickets in the room but the biggest thing was there was the biggest spider I had ever seen in the bath room my 3 yr old know has a big abcess on his leg the doc sd was probly caused from the spider. I am not so sure the pice was that good since know were out doc bills and a three yr old going thru pain of getting it cut drained packed ect. The pool was nice. If you stay there bring bug spray and not a bad idea to bring your own blankets they have extra ones but they are old and nasty. I am not trying to be rude I am a nurse as well as a mom and I strongly believe the public needs to know this and so does my childs doctor which told me to be sure to write this review. He also advised me to ask for a refund.

I stayed during the hurricane Gustav evac. The staff are very nice and helpful, security was very good. Have a full service truck stop next door with two other national truck stop chains within 3 miles. A/C was very cold, room very clean, nice pool, and good coffee anytime of day. The location is perfect, far enough out of town to avoid the problems, close enough to travel in without pains. The only negative would have been the soft bed in my room. I will stay there anytime I evac or travel to the area. Highly recommend!

Very good service from the owners of this establishment. Great price for the quality of this Mid Continent Inn. Very courteous staff that keeps the place in pristine condition. Also, good selection of Shreveport informational pamphlets about tourist sites.
