What an experience!!!!!!!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/10
I recently had the occasion to stay at this lovely establishment. I couldn't believe it. Here in the middle of nowhere (no offense to everyone in Alexandria) is an absolutely fabulous hotel and restaurant. The hotel was lovely and the staff very courteous. The restaurant would rival any in a big city. The Sea Bass was excellent, The staff was always present but did not hover and the owner was quite the always there to make sure things ran smoothly. This place deserves 4 stars in my book.

Not so wonderful
By NL, 5/19/10
This place looks somewhat attractive on the outside but inside needs a face lift. The entryway is dirty the hallways need fresh paint and new carpet. The bathrooms had horrible cheap showers and the floors were so dirty. They had a plastic flower in the bathroom that was so dusty it made me feel dirty and not wanting to touch anything. The floors in the bathroom were dirty too. Yuk! Who knows if they even scrubbed the bedrooms. Breakfast in the morning is cold and served on dirty napkins laid out on table. The floor in the entry way where you ate were dirty too. What's up with this place. The whole experience felt unclean. The exercise room was disgusting, 2 machines, only one worked which also looked old and dirty and needed a scrub!!! There was an old TV in there too. It was just nasty.

Bring your tools
By Kyle, 2/11/10
I stayed at Parc England on superbowl weekend. To no fault of mine the toilet in my room backed up. I contacted the front desk hoping to have maintenance repair the problem. The front desk swiftly provided me with a plunger to fix it myself...one would think at these rates they could maintain the premisis theirselves, not put the guests to work! I made my dissatisfaction known to the front desk at the time. They called me a few minutes later on my room phone to explain that they "meant no offense" by having me fix it myself. Everythings all better now...NOT!

ARE YOU SERIOUS?
By Rina, 6/29/09
I HAVE STAYED AT PARC ENGLAND PRIOR TO THIS PAST VISIT AND IT WAS VERY NICE. HOWEVER, THIS PAST VISIT WAS A JOKE. WHEN I MADE THE RESERVATION THE GENTLEMAN EXPLAINED THAT THE ROOM I WOULD GET WAS A PARLOUR SUITE A.K.A. (BAYOU LE TIG SUITE).......SOUNDS NICE RIGHT? WELL, IT WAS A FOLD OUT SOFA BED (FOAM STYLE) AND IT WAS A HORRIBLE NIGHT. WHEN I BOOKED THE ROOM HE MADE IT SOUND AS IF IT WAS A QUEEN BED ALONG WITH A PULL OUT SOFA BED. I THOUGHT OK THAT WORKS FOR ME. IF YOUR PLANNING ON STAYING HERE I WOULD DEFINITELY CHECK OUT THE ROOM PRIOR TO PAYMENT. WE STAYED BECAUSE IT WAS LATE WHEN WE ARRIVED AND NOT TO MENTION I WENT AHEAD TO PAY CASH FOR THE ROOM PRIOR TO ACTUALLY SEEING THE ROOM. WHATEVER YOU DO PLEASE DO NOT STAY IN THE PARLOUR SUITE...........AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF....I PAID FULL PRICE 120.00 FOR THIS FOLD OUT SOFA BED PARLOUR SUITE, WHICH WAS PROBABLY THE SECOND PART TO AN ACTUALLY NICE FULL SUITE.

Comfortable Bed

I really enjoyed my stay at Parc England. The furniture was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. Very clean rooms. Would recommend this place to friends and if I am ever in the area again would stay there.

Terrible weekend experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/17/08
This boutique hotel is overpriced, staff has a bad attitude, and the walls are paper thin! Noise in ajoining room was so loud we had to move. Front desk worker was very hesitant about moving us, and allowed a party to go on right beside us. Walls are so thin you can hear complete conversations, champagne being opened, water running, etc. Also, security is an issue. We came back about 10:00 the second night, hotel lobby was empty, no one at the desk. We looked aroud and finally saw the front desk worker outside smoking and on the phone, his back to the entrance. I'm not even sure he saw us come in! Comments from family and friends in Alexandria were all negative. How sad to have this type of establishment representing Alexandria.

excellent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/18/07
We have stayed there before and look forward to coming back. We enjoyed the decor. My husband enjoyed being able to play golf daily. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We also liked the location as it was close to good places for shopping. John and Mary Adele Provosty Baus

You do not get what you pay for
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/12/05
I have given this restaurant three tries to come up to the expectations you would expect for the price you pay. It never came close. The owner makes you feel as if you are invading his private home. The food is mediocre at best. The wine is way overpriced, and the bill is just really outrageous. There is no atmosphere whatsoever. You feel as if you are dining in a converted school cafeteria In addition to the three individual times I have been there, I have attended other functions as well. One function actually ran out of entrees and instead of substituting something different they actually cut the portions in half and still submitted a bill for the "whole" portion per person. I am sorry to say this is one dining experience I have never enjoyed. Definitely not worth what you pay for by any stretch of the imagination.
