I had called back at the begining of Jan. to make a reservations for March. I was comming down for a friends wedding and was actually given a pretty good rate, but I wound up staying with a friend. I called the DAY I made the reservation and cancelled. The night of the canecelled reservation the hotel calls me and asks me if I'm comming in. I tell them no b/c I canceled. The girl tells me that I'm still being charged for the stay. I tell her that no I'm not, they charge me and I'm filing a police report for theft. Well she calls me back and tells me no, not being charged...but guess what....I WAS!!!!!! 63.25..I called and tried to get the front desk clerk to explain things to me and he refused to let me speak to the manager. I did and was a little more understanding and was told we'll take care of it...as of yet...NOTHING!!!! I worked in the hotel industry for a time and I know for a fact that you don't charge peoples card unless you notify them when they make the reservation that you will charge if not canceled. I was never told that...plus you don't authorize the clients card unless they are standing right there checking in...what they do is fraud and stealing. I'm reporting them to the BBB in College Station along with telling everyone I know about the kind of scam artists they really are...Not only that...but they do quote you one price and charge you another....they charge what ever they feel like...they are CROOKS!!!!!
I disliked the fact that the manager Arvind Patel advertised 40.00 and when you checked in you get charged 45.00. The rudness of the desk clerk was also a reason I disliked the place. Dirty towels, unclean bath tub were also a minus.
