The only place we stay now

We love Fredericksburg, but had difficulty finding a place that suited us with a 9 year old, 1 early riser and 2 late sleepers. The Inn On Barrons creek fit the bill and more. There is an area for sitting and watching tv separate from the bedroom. (TV's in the bedroom too for those who0 can;t agree on waht to watch). It's spacious, very clean, and well-designed. All non smoking rooms. The staff are helpful and polite. The setting is a lovely spot on Barron's Creek. Guests can wander the grounds, walk by the creek - we haven't used the pool (we've been in winter) or spa but it looks inviting. The Inn is located within walking distance of Main Street - the prime shopping and dining areas and within a short drive to a good grocery store. There's a fridge in the room and a coffee maker. They serve breakfast downstairs - pastries and such and usually something cooked like eggs or pancakes and sausage.
It's the kind of place I look forward to returning to at the end of a busy day of hiking or shopping. I really wouldn't stay anywhere else. And it's reasonably priced for the area.
