Dixie Motel, Cocoa

Don't waste your money here. The cleaning staff don't clean. I saw a report quite by accident where the maid showed that my room had been cleaned. IT HAD NOT BEEN TOUCHED!! Evening shift manager was very helpful and apologized. Morning shift manager put me in the worst place possible. Started complaining when he came on duty about the air conditioner in the office. I changed rooms and it was an improvement but no service. Sorry to say but this motel's days are numbered and will probably end up in my opinion as a place for homeless and city sponsored indigent folks.

Excellent rate and service, very clean and comfortable, friendly enviroment. I would recomend this motel to any one. :-)

If you're the type that likes the excitement of watching police answering calls to remove criminal types of all sorts then this is the place. If you don't mind the barage of drunks and homeless folks soliciting for hand outs then by all means, check in. I personaly would not recommend this place to anyone looking for peace and relaxation while visiting the Space Coast. The hired help is fantastic and will try to make your stay enjoyable despite the adverse conditions they work in. One way they achieve this is by doing what they can to avoid your contact with the management, whom are not very friendly at all. Too controlling! You will always be aware that they own all they see. Have fun, with permission of course.

I stayed there several years ago and again recently. I found the rooms clean & the staff courteous and accommodating. When I return to Cocoa, this is where I'll stay.

We come from Austria and stayed here for the 4th time and we love this motel ( found by Internet ). The rooms that we had are cosy and nice. No bugs, no mice, no roaches ! The whole crew is friendly and very obliging.

Mice drowning in our ice chest and toilet. Office people were no help. We got out of there as fast as we could. The one night we spent there was so awful.

if you like to go in & clean the room to make it habitable for humans and receive absolutely no compensation for having to do so then this is the place for you. the front desk personell was very appologetic and seemed genuinely disgusted at the nastiness of both rooms that we looked at upon arriving to fulfill our reservation that had been made for quite some time but the owner offered nothing. it was too late to find another facility at that point so we had nop choice but to clean the whole place & stay. i guess we shouldn't assume that a good price doesn't include clean ans sanitary too. the beds were made but that's about all that was done. if finances force me to stay here again then i'll be sure to bring my own cleaning supplies with me this time. but on the up side, at least all of the cockroaches that i saw in the room were dead ones. moral of the story, if it's a pretty good deal after comparing other prices, ask why.????

I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a corporate booking. Upon check in I saw 3 cockroaches in my room. I immediately requested to change rooms. The front desk informed me that this is "normal" as this is Flordia. The girl at the front desk came to my room with a can of Raid spray and sprayed the area. My hot water would not always work and many of the electrical sockets in my room did not work either. Do yourself a favor and avoid this property. It's ablsolutely awful.
