LOVE IT!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/9/11
We are locals and were looking for a weekend get away. Sounds like are timing was good, the old owners were back and they were great! Super nice, friendly and helped with everything we needed. The room was perfect and the view was better than any I've had before. Nice and quiet too. For those that visited with the old "new" owners, give it one more try you won't be disappointed. We will be back often! Can't wait to bring our dogs too!

Under New Ownership!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/2/11
We have owned this hotel for many years and have now taken it back from the people who were leasing it from us. We are once again Pet & Family Friendly and no longer "British Owned". We welcome all of our old friends to come back and stay with us again. Sincerely, Michael & Marilyn Grimes

Peaceful and Pleasant
By JJ Inc, 8/3/11
Pros: Nice place, great owners, clean, convenient location, beautiful beach front, and it was very quiet during the time I was there. Cons: Very limited parking (Enough for everyone staying at the Sunburst Inn). And it could be considered either a pro or a con, but they want no visitors. They are serious about no visitors. Talk to the owners before planning to have anyone over.

RUINED OUR VACATION
By Rick Valderrama, 10/19/09
The staff was unfriendly and rude. We had to cut our stay ealry and find another hotel down the street. I would recommend avoidance of this establishment.

Walking on EggShells, not seashells "UNFRIENDLY"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/24/09
"This hotel offers unacceptable treatment for dealing with the paying public." We were greeted and treated in an UNWELCOMING, UNFRIELDLY, INTIMIDATING and INVASIVE manner by the new owners Frank and Kim. With thier long lists of rules and regulations invasive nature and arrogant comments, it was difficult to feel comfortable at all let alone while lounging out of your room as the "Mr.Owner" would be staring and lurching as if trying to catch you doing something wrong. He was quite creepy. Our $500.00 Plus weekeng getaway was intended to be a relaxing, enjoyable beach excursion. BUT For the high price we paid we could have found better along the gulf. What was suppose to be a relaxing, fun beach vacation was quite the opposit "Thanks" to the new owners "Frank and Kim". I left this hotel feeling very upset, unwelcomed, nervous, highly anxious, shakey, creeped out and quite frankly ripped off.

New Owners Very Rude
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/10/09
i I have stayed at this place several times befoe and loved it, this time the new owners constantly drill me and my family (we had 6 rooms) on all the rules. My shower had a gob of hair and when I called about it the owner brought a paper towel to clean it!!!! yuck. What should have been a very relaxing birthday weekend was turned into a nightmare, they threatened my kids, it was horrible STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!

Awful experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/7/09
This inn is a very small property: they should post on their website that due to space issues, only one vehicle per unit is allowed. We had a major issue when our adult daughter joined us for one day of our stay. The office/owners need to work on customer service. I was approached the first night with, "do you have your receipt? You took both copies of the credit card slip." Of course I only had my copy. Maid service was poor and we were told to remove the battery from our smoke detector to stop it from beeping. We had to do this two nights. All in all, it was one of the worst experiences we've had staying in any location. The gulf coast of Florida is a beautiful location but beware of staying in this inn.
