Valley Forge Motel, St Petersburg

The place is a horrible site.There so called kitchen area is an awful site,The ovens dont work,the top of the stove is Filthy.The place smells of ciggerate smoke,The Beds are infested with Bed Bugs[Gross] All of your things will smell of ciggerate odor and especially if you dont smoke.The owners are on Drugs,A/C Leaks. We had no window in the bathrm. And No Matter what you did to get that awful smell out of your Rm ,you couldnt.The Health Departmnt shuold shut them down.Oh and they take advantage of people that are on fixed incomes. Its AWFULL !!!!!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I was next door to the writer of the last review. She was drunk and cussed out the manager and then the Police. She kept say ing how good it f-ing was 10 years ago. She damn near got arrested. It's not the Hilton but it is very nice for the price and I guess you can"t avoid bad guests at times

The place is a total dump, and the manager, "mike" was EXTREMELY rude. I would rather sleep under a bridge, personally.

We have been going to the Valley Forge Motel for the past fifteen years. This is a pet friendly motel at a rate you can't beat. We find comfort in the fact the managers watch over the happenings at the motel. If your not doing anything wrong, then what are you concerned about. If you feel as though someone is watching you, you must be up to no good. Their reasonable rates allow us to enjoy ourselves more when we stay there, more for restaurants, activites, ect. If you don't like pets, then this is not the place for you. Rooms are kept clean and managers are friendly. They have several cute and happy dogs who greet you. We will be sure to be back there for our next vacation.

A Pet friendly atomsphere at very reasonable rates. Rooms available at short notice, without costing arms and legs. Hard to find comparable motel in area that allows pets. Other motels in area are priced at $120/night. This allows you to afford other attractions in area, instead of spending all your money on a motel room. We have been staying at Valley Forge for the last 10 years for our vacations and home search. Yes, the management does keep watch over the facility, but we feel more secure for ourself and our pets, and don't need to worry about someone breaking into our room as is heard of with other motels. Rooms are clean and there is plently of hot water for showers, and a very nice court yard. We have met repeat customers there, so we are not the only ones to feel this way. Plently of areas to walk your pooch, and managers always require the poo to be picked up by pet owners so your not stepping in it. Overall, this is a good place to stay and I recommend it to all, especially pet owners.

Staying here was a very strange experience. This place is a real "Mom and Pop" shop. When I first drove up in my car I was treated like a tress passer in till I told them I was there to check in. While I was checking in the owners dogs came running out, Maybe 5 or 6 of them and she made me kiss one that jumped up on the counter. She then went into along speech about the rules on where to park and how to drive with in the motel. They mostly cater to people that rent from them on a monthly bases and have about 28 units for the public. Out of 28 units only two were rented out when we where there but we got only one parking space near our room and I had to park in another parking lot away from our room. You have to watch where you drive because her dogs run around with out a leash. They stared at us bring in our luggage from about 20 yards away like we where smuggling in drugs or some thing. The rooms were poorly lit ( only on lamp for the whole room). The beds where hard, the shower was 3' by 4' and the bathroom had no outlets, the AC unit had a sign on it "do not touch" so when it became too cold we just unplugged it.The owners were very Unfriendly for reasons I don't know. We didn't cause any trouble we were very quiet, and when I asked for a late check out she wouldn't do it because she said she wouldn't be able to rent the room out for the next day (mind you all weekend there was only two rooms rented out and now it's Monday). We paid $60 a night, but for that price, if you want to stay in a dark, cold. hard room with rude owners,have at it..other wise I'd stay away from this place!
