Windjammer Motel, Treasure Island

Quaint and clean,been there a few times. Owners were always there for you. Kathy,the owner who ran the place just passed away this May09 unexpectedly but the rest of the family were also always available.

My husband and I met relatives over the Labor Day week at the Windjammer. For a small motel it was "5 Stars" in our book. The owner and staff were the nicest people, the rooms were clean. The motel was very quiet, the view of the beach was great. The rooms were cleaned daily and the entire staff was just wonderful. The people who said the motel was dirty must be talking about another motel because this is not the same motel I just stayed at. PS We are going back the end of October and are taking 4 couples with us because we enjoyed it so much!!!!! From Tampa, FL

My boyfriend and I had a great relaxing time last June of 2006. It wasn't dirty and the ceiling was in fine condition. The A/C worked great. the pool was crystal clear and perfect. Granted, it is an older place, but plenty nice. Lots of walking distance entertainment and shopping (Walgreens). Just a quick jaunt in the car to other places. We are really looking forward to going back.

I was not impressed in the least. The owner/manager was very rude to us for no reason, plus the place is falling apart. The furtniture was ragged and old as well. Look elsewhere if you want to really enjoy yourself.

Windjammer is the worst place to stay. The room was dirsty. HTe ceiling was falling in. THe couch cushions would cave in hwen you sat on them. The toilet didn't flush half the time. The shower had almost zero water pressure. Only one room was air-conditioned. THe management/owner was rude.
