Suncoast Motel, Treasure Island

Suncoast Motel was just what we were looking for. Clean, well maintained property. Comfy, clean room with a kitchenette, stove, micro, ref., table and chairs, two beds, TV and a bath with large tub/shower and WI/FI internet. Crystal clean pool, lots of chairs, tables, sitting areas with tropical plants all around, a stone BBQ and shuffleboard. A new Publix grocery a couple minutes walk away completed all our needs. The owners really love what they are doing, happy, smiling and attentive to your every need. You will not find a more economical beach front motel. Fancy, luxury no but comfortable, clean and nice absolutely. We really had a great time,made new friends and can't wait to return.

We discovered the suncoast motel over twenty years ago, when it was still owned by john and addi. At the time i was sixteen years old. I am now married with my own family and we have taken our soon there since he was only months old. He is now fourteen years old. Anna and walter know us by our first names, and a couple of years ago Anna and Walter came over to England and we took them on a tour of our town and had a wonderful few days with them until they boarded thier ship for a cruise that their kids had organised for their anniversary. The following year whilst on vacation we were treated we were invited to their home where we enjoyed a truly fantastic feast. We are treated like a family member. Anna and Walter have done alot of improvements to the motel, but the atmosphere remains the same, friendly, clean and a lovely place to unwind. We intend to keep returning as long as we are alive and probably our son will keep coming long after. The best on the beach

We have been going to The Suncoast since the early 80's. We always feel like family and are treated as such. Anna calls us by our first names. We will never go anywhere or stay anywhere else. Now my kids are enjoying the same quaint, family-oriented Treasure Island that I did as a child. So, if you are looking for a low-priced, friendly motel right on the beach, you have found it! I've been coming to the bay area for the past 5 years from philadelphia to visit my longtime childhood friend who lives in Tampa.This is my annual get away from every thing,to have some peaceful time for myself.I normally commmute to and from the various beaches daily,but I always desire to stay.This year I decided to really try to find an affordable place to stay for atleast one night.I stopped at several small independent motels along the way,but they were still alittle steep for my budget. Just as I was about to give up on the idea, I pulled over to make a u turn,in front of the Suncoast Motel.Something told me to try this last motel.The clerk at the front desk was very friendly and told me she had a motel room for $41.00.Although I was very skeptical,I asked to see it. I was immediately impressed with the beautiful gardens and the upkeep of the grounds.She lead me toward a room on the second floor over looking the pool and the beach.When she opened the door I was totally amazed. The room was perfect.Exceptionally clean and modern,with a brand new bathroom.Complete with a full size fridge,microwave,toaster,coffee maker,and cable t.v.All of this for $41. I was able to stay two Treasure Island,and I am so blessed to have found it.I will be back!!!

We have been going to the Suncoast for three years. My husband's family had been going there since he was a child. The hotel is clean and quaint. The price is affordable for a family of four to spend a week relaxing on the beach and poolside. Guests arrive looking forward to relaxation and as an added bonus, they leave with new friends. The best recommendation has to be that my son hopes the Suncoast is still around when he has kids so he can spend vacations there with them.

I have stayed at the Suncoast motel several times and I have to say it is one of the best family motels I have stayed in. Treasure Island is a great place to visit and Johns Pass is packed with many things to do. The owners(Anna and Walter) of Suncoast are wonderful and have went out of their way to make us feel welcome. My children love it there and cant wait for the next visit!!!!! Jamie Clark (Indiana)

When we arrived, we were treated like we had been coming for years. We rented a small motel room, complete with a kitchenette. It wasn't big, but at $35 per night I expected much less. There were higher priced, larger rooms but we didn't plan to spend much time in the room. Therefore, it was PERFECT for us. The room was very clean and even had a automatic room deodorizer to keep it smelling so fresh. The pool was refreshing and quiet. When you walk into the courtyard area, there are lovely tropical plants and a fountain. Although it is a fairly wide beach, it is clean and serene. You can't get a better deal if you were to stay anywhere else on Treasure Island. We will definitely be back this summer!!
