Nov. 2007 Stay

This was a timeshare exchange for us. Check in was 4pm and I didn't look at the time for late arrival since we were there by 5:30. I was surprised that the office was closed, which means there is about 1 hour allowed to check in. Fortunately, there was a notice for late arrivals to go directly to the unit (and our reservation did show our unit number, thank goodness). The check in packet was there. The only complaint I really have is that there was no place to put shampoo and such in the tub (very little flat surface around the tub perimeter). There was only one towel bar and it was short, so it was somewhat awkward for two people, let alone four, to comfortably use the bathroom.
The unit was small, but sufficient for four (we had overnight guests the first night). Any more than that would definitely be tight.
The unit was clean and a door led from the 2nd bedroom out to the pool from where you could then get to the beach. The pool and spa were clean, there were gas grills available, too. Overall, it was a relaxing place. If you're looking for a lot of activities, especially if you have kids, this probably isn't the place for you. If you're looking for a place to hang out, read, bicycle, and enjoy the sunsets, this is it. There are several restaurants nearby and other areas within an hour's drive to explore. There's a mall in Port Charlotte.
Didn't have a lot of interaction with staff, but they seemed friendly when we did.
