Ocean Reverie Apts, Lauderdale-by-The-Sea

The Ocean Reverie Apts. were wonderful! We got a large apartment that had plenty of space. All the dinnerware ane utensils were in the kitchen--I did quite a bit of cooking. We did not need a car--everything was in walking distance. The town square, restaurants, bars, shops were only a few blocks away! Arleane is very friendly, kind and helpful. And the place is kept very clean by Francis! All in all, everything was awesome and I cannot wait to return in the Winter of 2011! Thank you Arleane for such a wonderful vacation! Rina of Maryland

We just returned from an incredible experience at the Ocean Reverie on October 1st. My husband, mother and myself were more than please with the accommodations. Cleanliness is of the upmost importance to Arleane. We had a late flight and we were invited to stay in our apartments long after check out, we felt more like family than vacationers. Arleane went above and beyond on more than one occasion. This is our new vacation destination, we can't wait to go back! There was construction, but we were able to enjoy ouselves to the MAX. Thanks for a great time.

Just returned Sept 08, Arleane is wonderfull, But, the building next door and accross the street is being built, street closings, dust, noise, it is a shame because it is a wonderfull place. Hopefully the construction will end soon. I would still stay here, just a disclaimer on the construction. The whole towne is suffering. Arleane is a trooper.

There is nothing we did not like about the Ocean Reverie! The owner, Arlene, is awesome! Shopping, dining, clubbing and the ocean are very close. Everything you want is in walking distance. The owner, Arlene, was going out and she offered to drive us shopping and she offered to pick us up. The pool and amenities are super clean. We've been there two times and we will be back. We were checked in at the Days Inn when we stumbled accross the Ocean Reverie. We liked it so much we checked out of the Days Inn. We talked about it for months. We couldn't have had a better time or trip.

My family and I have gone here off and on for the past 18 years. We haven't been the last two years but, I can let you know you can't beat this place. It is a home away from home. The owner Arlene treats you like family. Love this place

My family and I just returned to Canada from spending a long weekend at Ocean Reverie. We think it is absolutely wonderful. Great location, family oriented, great view of the ocean, very clean and nicely furnished. Arlean is very kind and very nice. We can't wait to go back. My family has been going to Fort Lauderdale/Pompano Beach for many years. We sold our condo up the street a few years ago. This is now the place we will definitely return to!

Previous poster must be another relative..Place is nice.. clean and one of last free standing motels ,across from the beach...Great Pool...The poster 2 back is correct, the owner Arlean is great..I have been staying there over 40 years...It is not the Ritz, but good people stay here...Best price in town for a 1 bedroom apt..it's more than a motel room

I have lodged here for years, most recently in January 08. The Ocean Reverie is far more than ok and it sounds like the previous reviewer is a little passive/agressive or otherwise has some bone to pick. The truth is the apartments are fabulous. They are freshly painted, roomy (about 650 sq. ft.) clean, bright, newly tiled floors and fixtures and furnishings. Generally speaking, the accomodations on El Mar Drive and Lauderdale by the Sea are what they are, the old Florida beach style and while that may seem to some like a blast from the past the Ocean Reverie, dollar for dollar, is the best of the what the area has to offer unless you want to pay upwards of $250-$300.00 per night in an area which does not offer amenities equal to that. The pictures posted speak for themselves as do the number of repeat guests like myself. Highly recommended.

Ignore the previous reviews, they are written by relatives of the owners boyfriend.and are over imbelished..the place is very clean and priced nice..furnishings are 1960's..the pool is nice the owner Arlean is great
