The Boathouse Motel, Marco Island

My husband & I have been going to the Boat House for 18 Years and we love it ! The best staff and the cleaniest rooms. So quiet and peaceful,our last visit was not long enough,hated to leave. The best kept secret on Marco Island !!!

Our family has been coming to the Boat house for many years. We are up to the third generation of fishermen at the Boat House. It is a beautiful place: very large well-furnished rooms, lots of docks with beautiful lounges, tables and a pool. The fishing is fabulous. My husband actually fishes almost all night. Sunsets are breathtaking. Owners Nick and Desiree treat everyone like family. Every few months we need a "Boat House Fix."

This was the second year we stayed here. Great location and great facilities. If your looking for a daily maid, look elsewhere, if your looking for a place to relax, enjoy the area, be left alone, and have service when you need and request it, this is your place.

We've stayed at the high priced high rise hotels on Marco but you can't beat the location, value and the friendly service at The Boat House. They have rooms, condos and even an entire gazebo house on the water. The pool and dock on the inlet are steps from your door and the visits from the manatee and dolphin are an experience to remember. Service is friendly and the entire property is clean and convenienet to restaurants. We've already booked our next visit to The Boat House.

We picked this motel based on the guest feedback and really didn't know what to expect. The outside looks like "Old Florida" which is appropriate to its setting but when we opened the door and stepped into our room we were VERY pleasantly surprised. It was beautifully decorated and fitted out; actually more like an efficiency apartment than a motel room. The beauftiful accomodations were only surpassed by the very friendly and anxious to please management. they made everything from booking the room to checking out a good experience. The Boathouse Motel is situated in what's called Old Marco and is within a short walk of excellent restaurants and a dive shop. When we next visit Marco Island we will defiantely stay at the Boathouse Motel the rates are VERY modest in comparison to the great accomodations and service.

I can't think of anything I didn't like, from the time I phone to make booking to the time we left. Desiree was great, and recognised me as soon as we met,and if, as the great Greta Garbo said you want to be alone then they leave you too it. All the restaurants on their list that you can walk to are really good, one a bit rowdy though. Waking up after the first night we were already talking about when we would be back, so that gives you an idea. Dolphins, manatee, pelicans, which my husband fed with the smaller snappers he caught, so much fun, not very clever birds. The idiots boat drivers who are lucky they don't crash their rubber ducks in the bath. My husband is an ex-merchant marine captain of very big ships, so very enjoyable. Loved it, loved it , loved it. We will be back later in the year NO BOUBT ABOUT IT. We were just a couple looking for peace and relaxtion and we got it, but it would work well with the various types of accomodations aand suit many family situations. FABULOUS.

The rooms are very clean and have a nice amount of room. A king room is great with a refridgerator and toaster oven for nice simple cooking. The staff is very friendly and the price is very attractive when you compare to other lodging on the island. Nice place to stay, we have twice in six months.

We vacationed over the Christmas holiday this year. As always, the Boat House provided excellent accommodations. Over the years, we’ve stayed at the motel, the condo and the house. Where ever we stay, it’s always great. It’s clean, quiet and affordable. The owners and staff are so helpful and friendly. What more can you ask! We always take home great memories: fishing from the dock with our grandkids, watching the dolphins and shore birds, people watching and “tide watching”, getting that perfect camera shot. This time, we greeted the New Year from the condo, watching spectacular fireworks across the water. It’s small enough to be friendly, large enough to be professional! Will we be back again? We can hardly wait! Would we recommend it to friends? You bet! J & R from Missouri

The office of this motel closes at 4:00 p.m., however, we called to let them know we would be a little late. We arrived at 8:00 p.m.. The lady told us where she would leave the key for us. She waited instead just to be sure we arrived safely. We appriceated this very much. The motel was wonderful, very clean, and the bed was so comfortable I slept all night without waking up. That never happens at home. There was eleven of us traveling together, everyone got into the pool for a while that evening. So, relaxing and quiet. My room overlooked the river, spectacular view, the evening and the next morning with the sun rise. I give this hotel five stars for everything. Hope to stay again real soon. Anyone planning a trip to Marco Island, this is the place to stay, great rates, rooms and views.
