Suzie was a great hostess. Whenever we needed something, she was there. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Views were spectacular. Grounds were well kept. It was a little expensive for what was there, but we felt it was worth it for the privacy. We always did our dishes before we left and cleaned out the frig, vacuumed. etc. and never were charged any type of cleaning fees. Suzie never yelled at us. And the one time we made a reservation and had to cancel it, she refunded our full deposit. There were no laundry facilities but we enjoyed going to Washburn to do it on the day we'd visit the grocery store. The only reason we aren't coming back up this year is because Door County is cheaper. We get a premiere 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo/suite with a jet tub, full kitchen, livingroom, dining room, fireplace, wrap-around deck with furniture that faces the lake (about 75 feet away), free tea and hot chocolate, laundry facilities and a workstation for checking email along with an exercise room, two swimming pools, big hot tub and sauna. And all for $968.00 including tax for a full 7 nights. The same time frame would cost us close to $1,500.00 at Superior rentals. We stayed at this place in Door County before too and it's great. Not quite as much privacy, but still very very nice.

The house was fine. The exorbitant cleaning charges and 45 minutes I got yelled at on the phone (long distance, on my dime) for leaving dirty dishes was not. The manager made a comment about not making the bed. What?!?! Do they not change all the sheets between guests? Isn't there a law about that? Also, she complained about moving some quilts from the upstairs bedroom to the living room and how this was unacceptable. Well, the kids didn't want to sleep in that room because it had stairs leading up to an attic that was absolutley filled with mouse droppings. Ew! The other thing we got charged for was leaving a bit of food behind. It was wrapped, fresh food. She insinuated that it was unsafe, saying something about Halloween and razor blades that I didn't quite understand. We had used this place every year for the last 4 years and never had a problem. I am sad to say we will never use them again due to the unprofessional attitude of the property manager because they do have some really nice properties.

Completely incompetent and unprofessional staff who work here. They inexplicably raised nightly rates on a property I had booked after they had originally agreed to a lower rate. After cancelling the reservation due to the price increase, they kept my deposit even though it was absolutely their fault and was still 6 weeks out from arrival date. Did not disclose major cosmetic issues at a property I rented through them the year before. Steer clear of these morons and rent through any of the other more respectible firms in the area. Trust me on this...
