This condo (UNIT 139) was on the first floor(perfect for getting items in), much better than the 2nd or 3rd fl when bringing in luggage shopping etc..
High spped internet, 2 bedrooms, very clean, PERFECT LOCATION and updated.
The beach is 30 seconds away and is tremendous.
This was my families best beach vacation ever!!!
WE ARE BOOKED AGAIN ALREADY FOR NEXT YEAR
We found the location and the views to be wonderful! The unit was clean and very well maintained w/nice furnishings. The kitchen was fully equipped and I believe the refridgerator and the dishwasher were new. Great screened porch for watching the sunset!
Cannot wait to go back!
This place is awsome! I went with my dad in high school, and now that I have grown up and moved away, my husband and I go back there and meet him every spring break--- It is just something that we all have in common, and would not trade that! It is very relaxing, and of course ocean annies is the best thing created across the lil road to the ocean, this way we can drink, and not have to worry about driving. You just cross the road, and your home--- Great Place...
We've actually stayed here several times. As with individually owned units, each one is decorated and maintained differently so it's hard to know what's behind the closed doors.
Our unit, while not "showcase gorgeous", was very comfortable and casual and warm and inviting, which is much more important to us so we could really relax. Two bedrooms (one king, one double and a pullout sofa )Kitchen is fully equipped, the only thing we needed to bring was sheets for the beds. You do need to clean the place before you leave, or you can call one of the cleaning services.
It's a 4-5 minute walk across the street to the beach (easy to return if you've forgotten something or need the restroom!), and there's a fun little beach bar (Ocean Annie's) with a lazy river... it's just very pleasant. By the time you leave the beach and get back to the condo, pretty much all the sand has fallen off your stuff, so that's nice!
The unit we rent usually goes for about $100-150 night, and for the location, comfort and convenience, it just can't be beat.
The only reason I didn't give this a 5* rating was the exterior. It's oceanfront, and as such, takes a real beating from the weather. It's looking a bit weathered and perhaps a bit dated. It's not awful by any means, but you would be disappointed if you were expecting a 5*. The grounds are well maintained. There is a small pool, but we found that there was an inadequate number of chairs so we never used it. Nearly every afternoon, we smelled food cooking on the charcoal grills around the resort, but we preferred to explore all the other wonderful restaurants that Myrtle Beach has to offer. (It was nice having the kitchen for breakfast and lunch... really helped stretch that vacation dollar!)
I would highly recommend renting a unit here (and I'm a pretty picky person!)
We loved our vacation. We had a nice big pool to enjoy we were right across from the beach and we enjoyed ocean annies. It is a very nice beach bar with music and dancing. We would like to go there every year. The price is just right for families.
