Lazy L & L Campground, New Braunfels

we have stayed at lazy l and l at least 5 times. never have we had a problem like we did a few days ago.... first day there were at our campsite listening to music highway to hell to be exact its mid day and they tell us to turn our radio down?? it wasnt even that loud. the next day were down at the river and these girls are going crazy all over each other being a straight up insest sl"t family. one of the girls hit on me (im a girl also) and is dead set on making me switch my preference. So my group leaves to go back to our campsite. the next day the old man in the front office corners me when we go to buy ice which by the way is OUTRAGEOUS FOR ICE....so he corners me ALONE away from my friends and tells me whatever happened down at the rapids doesnt happen here. im totally confused my friends and i did nothing wrong. so i say im sorry im confused he said you and all those other girls. i said woah woah im not with those people from yesterday. he said well then why were they talking to you?REALLY DUDE ITS THE RIVER EVERYONE TALKS TO EVERYONE. i keep my cool and say idk but idk them. he said they were also seen at your campsite. i said well sir we werent there last night we went into town. he said i know we waited on you then. i said well idk who those people are and id appreciate if i wasnt put into their category. so then he says well the campground is after you right now and is still giving me the stank eye so i said let me go grab my friends to back me up here. they come over they tell him the same stuff i just said and he rudely says ok and walks away from us. basically threatened to kick us out because were nice people and talk to everyone. NOT ONCE did he apologize to me and i felt completely disrespected. im 22yrs old and my momma raised me better than that. all in all we will not be returning because of that old man hes rude disrespectful and needs to get his facts straight before he starts accusing the wrong people again. we just lost our business and we would go mulitple times a year for last 3 years.

Lazy L and L campground is the best ****. We went with a large group of about 17 and knowing that it was a busy weekend and going to be packed it was still great and fun. The river was full and the campground was clean. Everday we saw staff clean the grounds and the restrooms were also clean and pleasent. There is a wide range on amenities for the family and group to do, volleyball, horseshoes, washers, dance, float, or just relax and sit around the camp. Things that we liked the best was the new dancehall with good music and great food and the fact that there was security everyday made us feel safe knowing that we were leaving our items just lying around the camp. L and L does have rules, read over them, like every other place we have been. But here it is enforced, they are not playing around. We watched a group get kicked out for cutting down trees and they should have, surprised they did not go to jail for destroying property. We have stayed at other places on the river in the past years and its been a loud party all night long, people dropping the f bombs and up all night making noise. I applaud the staff and security, it must be hard to keep the noise and music down. Quit time in this camp is midnight-8am, so you and your family can enjoy some much needed sleep after being out in the sun all day. If you want to have a good fun time and a great family atmosphere, Lazy L and L is the place. We will be joining the L n L folks again.

Everything is spic and span at this campground and the service was totally awesome. Great place and campsites are very spacious with all the amenities. I don't think anyone will have any problems here as long as you are courteous and obey their policies. We had plenty of shade and enjoyed the peacefulness of being in the hill country!

After reading all the problems "Management" has I think I'll pass and find some other place!! Thanks for all the reviews. Will probably save Management some problems.

I have nothing negative to say about the Lazy L&L. I have been there 3 times with 20-30 people and never had any issues whatsoever. We always have a blast no matter what. the campsites are kept in very nice shape, the showers and bathrooms are clean for what you can expect from a campsite, the people are always friendly. I am going next weekend again, can't wait!

This was a girls trip. None of us had ever been here before and after reading the reviews were very nervous! We got a little lost getting there, and the check in was a bit daunting, as the police were all over the place at the front gate. But once we were in everything was fantastic!!!! We set up camp and I immediately went around to all of the neighbors and explained that we were on a girls trip and we may be very loud. I asked them if we bothered them to please let us know and we would settle down. Everyone seemed to appreciate the courtesy (after all we are in TX) and we didnt have a single issue all weekend. We had card and peer pong parties at our site all weekend, with music and tons of people. I checked in with the neighbors daily to make sure we werent bothering them and life was good. On the 3rd night the police came to our site in the late evening and asked us to shut off the radio, which we did. No problem. We floated the river one day and hung out at Devils Playground the next. The dock area is fantastic! Devils Playground was the best place to hang out for the day, We brough our coolers and chairs and found a great shaded spot to sit in the river. We had a blast visiting with all of the people there. the bathrooms were clean, and when we had an issue with one of the showers, the staff was so willing to make it right. The girls in the store were sweet and all of this together has made this the best trip I have EVER had on the river! I have been floating for 10 years now and absolutely the best best best!

Great place, friendly staff with a lot of thing to do, like vollyball, horseshoes and washer. Brand new dancehall with live music, that was cool. Good food to. Some house rules, like quite time after midnight - no music, yelling and horse play but that was fine do to I have kids and understand., other wise it would go on all night long, glad for the security. The way I would want it. Water was low, little disappointed there but overall a good time. better than many others considering the amount of people.

We were told that the Lazy L and L was a family campgroung good for all ages. We were supposed to stay there three nights and then return to Houston. The first night there were people up until early morning partying and talking keeping everyone else in the campground awake. The second night we asked our neighbors to keep it down because we had chirldren who were trying to sleep and the F-bomb was being dropped on a regular basic. We were threatend, cursed and screamed at. I went to get the (security), but none could be found. The bathrooms were nasty and dirty, river access from our camp spot was limited and if you wanted to take a shower it cost a dollar. People walked through our camp spot like it was an access trail. However, the staff was nice and professional. After we left we found a spot down the road about three miles( Not associated with Lazy L and L), that was amazing. Great river access, no loud neighbors and safe for the kids.

Lazy L&L camp ground is one of the worst paces to stay if you choose to go camping. I am an AMERICAN SERVICE MAN in the air force, whose family tried to plan a nice camping trip before I was to be shipped out. On the second day that we were at the camp ground, the owner came up to my family and I and told us that because of a complaint we had to pack up and leave the camp ground. Without an explanation the new owner threatened me with calling the police and a fine. Also the owner was very disrespectful to my mother when she tried to get an explanation. Also to make this experience even sadder, we paid for 4 days of camping that came out to about $500 and only stayed for 2 days before getting kicked out without our money refunded. If anyone is thinking about camping here I very strongly advise you to find another camp ground. I can’t believe and place can be so mean and treat people the way Lazy L&L treated my family and I. I will never go back!

This is a very nice place to camp and float. The bathrooms and showers are kind of crappy, but thats to to be expected with any campign site. I wish they would allow dogs year round though.
