Best B&B in New England

I have stayed at the Governor's House several times and everything about the place exceeds excpectations so magnificently I would not consider staying anywhere else.
To start with, the house is absolutely beautiful, with every inch lovingly restored in exquisite detail. The rooms are large, many have fireplaces, and all, in my experience, are very comfortable.
An unbelievable restoration job might be enough for some, but the house is just the beginning at this place. The innkeeper, Suzanne Boden, is extremely accomodating of all kinds of special requests and will literally attend to your every need. For example, she will stay up late to greet you when you arrive if the snow slows down your trip, she will serve you breakfast (in the dining room with a gorgeous mountain view) at whatever time you want or even in your room if you prefer. There are homemade cookies and fruit all day available all day (honestly, when was the last time you saw a cookie jar full of homemade cookies just available for the taking? Unebelievable). She is quite knowledgeable about the area and great at recommending restaurants or activities. She pretty much does everything she can think of to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable.
Once, I happened to be staying at the inn while a small wedding was taking place, and I must say, it was beautiful setting for such a special occasion. From what another guest said to me and from what I know about Suzanne's hospitable and accomodating nature (not to mention her cooking), I'm sure the whole event was a grand success. A glance in the guest book showed that the house has hosted many weddings in the past, and from what I could tell, each one was more perfect than the last.
I would say Suzanne makes you feel at home, but staying here beats home by a long shot.
