I have stayed at he oasis for the past ten years and they really need to put some money in for a face lift...the rooms are AWFUL....moldy showers...there are other options in Key West and I won't be going back until they have sone some upgrades...and neither will my friends...
Thru the years I have traveled to Key West often and I always stay at the Oasis. I have made so many friends with whom im still in contact. I find that the resort lends itself to character of friendliness unlike any other. In the past year I have opened my own B&B in Wilton Manors Fl. and I hope that people will be as happy at my resort as they seem to be with Jorge and Gerry at the Oasis. I also would like to say that the staff at the Oasis is one in a million. especially my good friend Todd at the front desk. With all my love, Tony Rhodes
We have stayed there for 9 years in a row. It seems they have no interest in repairs or improvements. They are after the tourist buck. We noticed last year just how bad the place had slipped and how much the room rate had increased. They have had several owners while we have been there and we keep hoping some long needed improvements might happen but not yet. Your feet turn black going from the bed to the bathroom. Moldy showers, dirty rooms and falling apart pool/spa areas only seem to get worse. For safety's sake this is our last year. We prebooked so stuck this year but will search out a new place for next year
I just stayed there last weekend- we first had a room in Oasis where I stayed 11 years prior- well nothing was changed over there since! The place was for sure moldy and musty- and there were dust bunnies under the bed bigger than my dogs! The nice guy at the desk changed us to a better room across the street at Coral Tree on the third floor with a nice deck and view of the small pool area- It is very quite at Coral Tree- the staff was nice- and the rooms were cleaner over here- and no moldy, musty smells this place is no thrills- for our $139 summer rate I guess it was worth it- they do have a small breakfast spread with cereals and bagels etc.. every morning- and then a cocktail hour in the evening (did not attend this during my three night stay) The location is in the middle of everything about a six to eight blick walk to the Gay clubs- and four blocks from Duval. To be honest I would have paid an extra hundred more a night for a cleaner and nicer place.
