Felt like I was at home!
By ,
The owners were awesome. They were so friendly and helpful. They guided us to all the places we wanted to go. I will use them for all my return visits and most definatly recommend them. My husband and I felt like we were staying with friends. Even the other guests in the house were wonderful.

A little disapointing....
By ,
We had read all these great reviews about the place, but it didn't really live up to our expectations. True, the proprietors are really nice people with adorable cats...but we felt it was WAY overpriced for what it was. With no elevator, a small and uncomfortable bed, and not very aesthetic furnishings, it seemed like an awful lot of money for not very much in return. It was a great location, but for similar lodgings at the same price on a different occasion we had a way nicer place. So, would recommend to somebody traveling alone who wanted to meet others, but not so for people wanting comfort and privacy.

Great Place! CLEAN-FRIENDLY-Perfect!!!

A very nice, super clean, relaxed Guesthouse, dispite what looks like a couple of reviews by a nasty reviewer.. Janine was extremely helpfull. The Breakfast was all you could eat (Bacon, eggs, toast, pancakes, cereal, etc..) Best place we've ever stayed in!

It's like home .
By ,
This place is like home,i would not trade it for a 5 star hotel room. If you want experience what a city is all about, this is the place, Kent and Janine have created a little paradise, and the garden is beyon words. There is a wonderfull kitchen to cook your own food after shopping, at Vancouver Granville market or the near by Chinese district market place. If your are the stuffy type you should stay home, and read a book. I love the cats, a great addition to this down to earth little slice of big city life. Its also as a great sauna all cedars hand crafted by Ken. A.K.A.

home away from home
By ,
Helpful friendly hosts, peaceful atmosphere, a homeful touch, comfy beds, huge kitchen, great breakfast, downtown centered, all in all an oasis inmidst of all the skyscrapers. A mix between a hostel and a B&B, great place to meet travelers from allover the world. A home away from home!

Crossed off our list!
By ,
Whilst we loved the location and the city Vancouver - we wouldn't recommend staying at this B&B. For one, the place is over run with cats. Another, not being able to have access to the kitchen until after 8am puts a damper on things if you're booked on one of those early morning tours and want a cuppa before you go. Also, no a/c or able to open windows makes the place stuffy and smellie. Too bad so sad.

best place to stay in Van!
By ,
This guesthouse is amazing - I can't believe that a place like this exists in downtown Vancouver. The location is perfect - walking distance to everything in downtown. The setup and kitchen is friendly and welcoming. I never felt like I was intruding in the owner's personal space. To the contrary, they made me feel very comfortable, and were super helpful. The rooms were quiet and clean, and enough bathrooms etc. that I never had to wait. They even have bikes you can borrow to go around town, and are happy to suggest routes and places to go. The B&B feels very safe, and as a single female travelling on my own, was a great place to stay. I was in Vancouver for a wedding, and the owners were very helpful - going to the effort of helping me get ready and helping figure out how to get there. I couldn't recommend this place enough - it is affordable, beautiful, and incredibly convenient, and run by two of the nicest people in the city (and for Vancouver, that's saying a lot!).

great for long-term stay
By ,
This is a wonderful place for people who want to feel like they are living in a cool apartment in the middle of Vancouver! Lots of characters, plants, nice hosts...yes you do have to share bathroom, kitchen, etc. and some restrictions (e.g. quiet hours) so that everyone can stay comfortably. If you can't handle them or are very sensitive to noise, this place may not be for you - since it's in downtown it can be a bit loud. But other than that, I highly recommend it! In summer they need 5 weeks notice.

Must be seen !!
By ,
First, it was great to have access to the kitchen because you can make your own meal and it's cheaper then eating in restaurants. The owners were always available to give us information about transportation or things to do or see in vancouver. It is very quiet at night even if it is located in the middle of vancouver. I shared a room with a friend and it was very confy and clean.

Uneasy Urban Hideaway
By ,
The hosts seemed uneasy sharing their living space with guests. Having to remove shoes at the door was annoying, as was restrictive hours for kitchen use. There was no internet access as advertised. There was no door lock in shower room, so others were using toilet on other side of sliding door. Lock in other bathroom wasn't affixed properly, so someone trying get in had full view of activities in toilet.
