This place is perfect.

I'm usually a luxury hotel kind of girl, but recently I was travelling with some skinflint friends and we stayed at the Sears Motel, and let me tell you, I'm sold on this place. Sure, it's no-frills, but it exudes a charm and authenticity that make up for its spartan (but really clean and comfortable!) trappings. I've never met nicer people or felt more welcome, and I can't wait to go back. Also, although they don't advertise as such, they're pretty handicap-accessible--no ADA approved fixtures in the bathrooms, but ramped, roomy rooms--I'm excited that my husband, who has MD, will be able to come with me next time. It's right across from two great places to eat, you can rent a car right there, they have a really fun gift shop, the kids can run around in the yard--staying there made me understand why people come to Glacier and never leave. Like I said, I can't wait to come back!! One more thing--if you like to cook, or just like wood, don't miss the spoon shop across the street. If you're looking for HDTV or room service, well--go to Yellowstone and leave Glacier for those of us who appreciate kind-hearted people, uncluttered trails, awe-inspiring views, and a slower pace. But if you want a good, fun, well-connected, cheap place to stay, check out Sears. You won't be sorry.
