Great Campsite/Location but Harassment is True

I have been coming to the Covered Bridge Campground for 30 years. It's a beautiful place with lots to do for all different types of campers. The nearby Swift River, numerous mountain trails, and a host of entertainment hot spots provide plenty to do for people of all ages. It feels far enough away from "civilization" to provide the right experience but is also close enough that you can get what you need if a quick run to the store is warranted. As a major downside, it is worth noting that in recent years the campground hosts have been VERY invasive, rude and overbearing. Complaints to quiet down are frequent, even when the noise-level isn't that high. We were also accosted by one host who complained that we had not paid our site fee. I explained to him that we had, noting that it was close to the cut-off time listed on the fee drop box, but that I did drop it off in time. He argued with me, essentially calling me a liar. Frustrated, we both walked over to the fee drop box together (a very uncomfortable walk). The host then opened it up and lo and behold there was our fee, neatly placed within the envelope. As it turns out, he grudgingly admitted to checking the box a little before the cut-off time. He did not apologize however, even during our uncomfortable walk back to the campsite where we then had to listen to his spiel about being quiet, keeping our fires low, keeping the site clean and rules about campsite set-up. A day later we were then accosted by a different set of campsite hosts who were riding around on their golf cart. They complained that our tents were set up too close to the edge of the graveled area of the site. We were forced into a brief argument with them after which they conceded that we were not in fact "off of the gravel" but that we were "pretty close" to being off of the gravel. I totally understand there being a reasonable level of authority but it should be delivered in the proper rations and to actual offenders. It would also be nice if it could be handled by someone with better people skills. I plan to go back this year after a two year hiatus. Hopefully, there have been some improvements since 2009.
