Great Campground
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/08
Our family of four stayed at Covered Bridge over Memorial Day weekend, and had a great time. We loved the campground. Sites are very private with lots of space between sites. The Boulder Loop hiking trail that leaves from the campground is a great trail. We didn't notice any of the harassment mentioned by other posters. The hosts stopped by while we were setting up our tent to make sure we were the ones who had reserved the site, and one of them came by the next morning to warn us that there had been a bear at the campground the previous night, but other than that, they would just drive by occasionally and wave. We will go back to Covered Bridge.

Harrassment-2
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/08
Absolutely agree with a previous poster regarding continuous harassment by the Hosts/Rangers. They also had a Sheriff to come by and go off on his power trip threatening to throw us in jail for being loud. We were not rowdy, and I got the confirmed by the hosts the next morning, they thought we were just too loud for light sleepers. I told them that we had 6 kids with us and they were all sleeping on sites nearby. I walked around the campground and knew that you may occasionally hear some noise, but it would not be anything more than any noise coming from a tree in a wind or a bird chirping nearby. Also, the hosts/Rangers were on the site while some cars sped by our sites where we had little children, and none of the hosts made an attempt to stop the car or tell them to slow down. As far as I know little noise does a lot less harm than a fast-moving car on the campground territory.

Harrassment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/07
While the area and scenery were absolutely beautiful, the campground "host campers" were almost on the edge of harrassement. They were constantly at our campsites making sure we were following the rules (which we were). They drove around the campgrounds through the day & night "reminding" us of the rules, which we were already obeying. It was very uncomfortable. Quiet hours were 6am-10pm. At 10:01 (literally!!!!) they came to our site & told us we needed to quiet down...we were barely making noise...we were just sitting around the campfire talking. Keep in mind that we had ALL of the sites around us so even if we laughed a bit loudly, nobody else was around. So, for scenery this is great, if you are going w/ a bunch of people, I would recommend finding a place that doesn't harrass you for talking w/ your friends after 10:00pm. We thought that was part of the camp experience. Our children were all asleep so we couldn't be that loud anyway!

Mother Nature at Her Best!!
By Joe, 07/05/07
My wife and I stayed at the Covered Bridge Campground and it was most certainly the best camping experience we have had!! Took lots of pictures, but the campfire and hearing the Swift River in the background were the best. It just goes to show you that in this day and age, you don't need the internet or a cell phone to enjoy yourself on a beutiful weekend in the White Mountains. Planning to return again towards the end of the 2007 summer season. Thanks to the care takers at the campground. Joe & Rachel Spinney, Maine
