Avoid at all costs

We visited this campsite over the Memorial Day 2007 holiday weekend, having seen some decent reviews online and hoping to avoid the worst of the crowds at the public campgrounds in the area, but still be close to Lake George Village. We had to mail a check for one night's stay in order to reserve a spot (the rate was $34 per night for two people in a tent).
When we arrived, we paid for the second night as well. We were then given a one-page list of the camp rules. We should have trusted our instincts, because rule #1 was that loud bass would not be tolerated at any time, yet there was a campsite right near the check-in area where the people were playing music with a loud, thumping bass. It was a sign of worse to come.
That night, the campsite was packed. This included several campsites containing large groups of young adults who were drinking, shouting, screaming, and playing loud music. Their partying went on until around 3am. No staff ever came by to ask them to keep it down. These people ruined the night for us and many others.
The next morning, there was six inches of standing water in the women's bathroom!
The staff would not give us a refund, but we sacrificed the money we had already paid and left a night early.
Bottom line: avoid this campsite at all costs!
