#1 BED & BREAKFAST
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/26/09
I cannot say enough about our visits to SaltWinds B&B. We have been continued guests for sometime now and will continue to remain very satisfied guests of Saltwinds. Ginny & Craig once again have outdone themselves. Thank you again for our wonderful visits and will return again next summer...why stay anywhere else when you have experienced the best B&B in town. Hats off to Ginny Craig and family Barbara and Family.

Had all we were looking for, low key, no stress, just so realxing. Breakfast will leave you full and satisfied . Some of the dishes that were served were different but delicious. Ginny is a wonderful cook and they really try to help if you have any food allergies.I have a problem with gluten, I was so happy when they served me gluten free pancakes. We are happy we choose Salt Winds and we will be back.

great choice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/10/08
We had a wonderful time, weather was fantastic which always helps but the service we encounted was above anything we have experienced before. Breakfast was just amazing, clean, comforatble rooms, private yard, close to everything. Anything you needed Ginny or Craig would get it for you, with-in reason of course. The tips they had were spot on, great restaurants for all budgets, beaches we never would have found on our own.We decided they have a vey difficult job and give 110% of themselves, I could not do this and keep up with things the way they do. My wife and I enjoyed our conversations with everyone, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Each morning coffee and tea awaited us in the breakfast room with the morning paper and lovely music. We learned while on our stay they have been here for 25 years and you would never know it. They raised a family while running this and at one time another one up the street. They both work off season back in their hometown which we just couldn't believe, Craig teaches at a jail after he retired from his full time teaching job a few years back and Ginny works in the service industry. No wonder they are so interesting to talk with. These are two very dedicated people that you do not often come across and run a beautiful business. They really attend to your every need, never before have we stayed at a Bed and Breakfast that offers so much. We appreciated our drives to the ferry's and back and loved our tour of Hyannis Port, again we saw places we would have not seen without them. We will tell eveyone we can about Salt Winds and hope they enjoy it as much as we did. As for some other folks that have reviewed this place they really missed the mark, we found nothing we did not like. The pool was a big hit with my wife and I loved the hammock.

Spend a little, get a lot!
By MarieL, 7/6/08
Three years ago my Mom and I first experienced Saltwinds Bed & Breakfast in Hyannis, MA. We returned this year for the third year in a row to enjoy the same quality time and environment as Mom requested for her 80th birthday. There are many hotels, motels, bed & breakfast accommodations in Hyannis, but none that I know of that provide the cleanliness, friendliness, and quality that Saltwinds provides at very reasonable prices. Owners Ginny and Craig Conroy will shuttle their guests to restaurants, ferry's, and shopping areas, or with their knowledge of this beautiful and historical area, will provide directions to any place you may want to visit. My Mom and I look forward to our time together at home, and we are made to feel very "at home" at Saltwinds, where we plan to return next year, in the month of June, to celebrate her 81st birthday...God willing. Saltwinds provides private rooms, with refridgerator, microwave, private bath and comfortable, clean beds. Their five star breakfast can be enjoyed in your room, outside on a deck, or inside their breakfast cafe. We've met wonderful guests that come from overseas, and all over the United States. They come with their friends, families, and relatives to be treated like royalty and part of Ginny & Craig's family. So, what are you waiting for...take advantage of this beautiful, high quality, bed & breakfast...because once you get there, you'll know what I'm talking about first hand. Thank you Ginny & Craig for a very memorable and enjoyable vacation. Mom hasn't stopped talking about it since we've been back! Rachel & Marie

At Home on Cape Cod
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/28/08
Nothing compares to a stay at the Salt Winds--we have been going there for nearly 30 years. The rooms are comfortable and lovely. The beach is just a short walk away. The homecooked gormet breakfasts are a wonderful way to start the day. Best of all, Craig and Ginny are unmatched as hosts--warm, welcoming, and gracious. They make the Salt Winds the home away from home that it has become for us.

hidden gem
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/13/08
Location is great, even though you are in the middle of Hyannis here you feel away and relaxed from the hustle and bustle. Our room was just right, bed was comfortable and rooms extremely clean. Sometimes you stay at places and are nervous you are getting into something you won't like, not in this case, from when I fisrt spoke to Ginny she was very informative, upon arrival you just felt relaxed and at home, they make it very easy for a first timer to fully enjoy themselves. I had never stayed in a B and B before so we were a little apprehensive, after seeing our room and chatting for a few minutes I was completely relaxed. Service was like nothing I ever expected, everyone was so helpful and always there if you needed something. Breakfast was a treat, I am not a big eater but my boyfriend is and he was more than happy with each morning meal. Each day we had something different and if you didn't like or couldn't eat what they served that day they would try to find something for you. I opted for fruit, cereal and toast and my boyfriend always ate the hot breakfast. Not to worry if you are lost for things to do, Ginny and Craig will surely keep your days and nights filled with fun things to explore. They are foodies so they pointed us to some great places to try, my favorites for dinner were The Roadhouse and The Island Merchant, both in Hyannis and within walking distance. When we travelled around the cape they had plenty of places for us to go, walking trails, beaches tucked away and some great shopping, not your ordinary places. We are so happy we discovered this place and now share it with all our friends.

perfect spot
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/6/07
Our room was perfectly comfortable, clean and decorated nicely. Upon arrival we were brought to our room by Craig and he kindly offered us a pitcher of cold water, let us get settled and then went over everything you could imagine. He had maps and brochures that would satisfy the pickiest of travelers, he wasn't shy about offering his opinion and he was right on with where to go and where not to. We had booked five days and wished we spent more time, there are so many lovely places to see we couldn't do them all. The weather was very warm so we really enjoyed the pool after a long day of sight seeing. They have seating all around the yard and a grill which we cooked out on a few times, it was nice for a change of pace. We were completely relaxed at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast, and that was the best part, breakfasts were amazing. Each day Ginny or Craig would create something different, they take turns cooking and have fun doing it. Just watching them intermingle with the guests was a treat, they really love what they do. We sat out on the deck in the morning started with coffee and the paper, no rush and we would let them know when we were ready to eat. Chatting with the other guests and sharing the trips they took was fun and gave us some ideas also. We were in a great location, walked to the beach in the morning and town at night. There are plenty of places to choose for dining and we had a great time at the Road House and The Paddock. If you are in Hyannis on a Monday try the Jazz at the Road House, it was so much fun, and Harry's for Blues any night. Craig and Ginny are a wealth of information and certaintly know how to treat all the guests. We had such a good time we can't wait to come back next year. This pick was one of my favorites and I am glad we stayed at Salt Winds.

Felt at home
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/31/07
Our room was so clean and had everything you could need. I was on a business trip and the location was perfect. Didn't want to stay at the Hotel where our conference was so I found this Bed and Breakfast which worked out well.I had to be there early so the owners made sure I had something to eat before I left for the day. My wife stayed behind and they kept her busy with things to do while I was working. We didn't have to worry about making any reservations because they did them for us, dinner, whale watching etc. Everything was taken care of, they even offered discount coupons for all of our daily excursions. We were extremely happy we decided to spend a week there, the cape has so many beautiful sights to see and great beaches to explore. What made our trip was the thoughtfulness of the owners, they go out of the way to make sure you have a memorable vacation on cape cod. We saw some places we never would have found on our own, each day they would sit down with us and draw maps of little side trips, off the beaten path. We may not be back to Salt Winds but we will tell everyone we know about this quaint B and B. Keep this one in mind for your next cape adventure, you will not be disappointed, this is as down home as it gets.

A home away from home!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/24/07
We have stayed at Salt Winds when visiting the Cape for many years now and have always had a wonderful experience. The rooms and efficiencies are consistently clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are stocked with more large, soft, fluffy towels than you could imagine and are replenished daily by the friendly housekeeping staff when they come in to clean. The breakfasts served each morning are delicious and plentiful. If we wanted more of anything we just asked for it and were promptly served. Not only does Salt Winds have a heated inground pool that the kids really enjoy, they also have beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. that you are free to use for your trips to the beach. Ginny and Craig are an amazing couple who never fail to go out of their way to accomodate the needs of their guests. We always feel like we are members of their family when we are there. We LOVE the Salt Winds B & B and will ALWAYS stay there when visiting the Cape.

great location, family friendly. clean
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/07
My family and I rented the two bedroom apartment for one week, while it was not huge it suited our needs just fine. Roooms are immaculate, breakfasts were hot and different each day and if you wanted seconds they were more than happy to fill you up again. Ginny and Craig really know how to make people feel welcome and comforatble, they are always around to answer any questions you have, they also had beach towels which I forgot to pack. The ride to the ferry was a big help and time saver and they are all about helping you enjoy your holiday. Service like this is rare and the staff was extermely helpful and friendly. We will return again and again, there was nothing we were unhappy or disappointed in, and the kids loved the pool. Try it you'll agree with us.
