The Ancher Motel, Narragansett

We have been going to the Anchor Motel for the past few years, usually selecting spring or fall times, and always always, it was pristine and lovely. WE look for clean and quiet and it met our requirements. The owners are so helpful and friendly, they always made us feel welcome and were always so helpful. Strip motels are something from the past, they are almost obsolete, but the Anchor Motel is such a pleasant surprise, friendly, clean and directly accross from the ocean, you can't beat it!. The best part is that it's between Pt. Judith/Galilee and Narragansett. And a quick trip to Newport and don't forget Wickford, we love Narragansett, espeically the lobsters! We always bring a cooler and have the lobstermen load up our cooler with their fresh catch as we go back to our home in central NY, Visit the Anchor Motel, bring your beach chair, your book and a jug of wine, you'll walk a few yards and you'll be on the beach - enjoy!

We have been staying at the Anchor for many years, have always found it to be immaculately clean and you just can't beat the location. I'm almost afraid to sing it's praises for fear we may not be able to get reservations! This family owned motel is wonderful. The owners are great and are always helpful. We look forward to returning every year.

My husband & I have stayed at the Anchor Motel twice in the past two years in July, and will be staying there again this July. We are from Connecticut, and it is a perfect spot for us to stay for an overnight visit. The motel is small & quiet, and the room is always absolutely immaculate! It is directly across from Scarborough Beach, and perfect for a quick beach getaway.

In July of '07 we stayed overnight at the Anchor. We were very impressed with how well maintained it is. Owners are very friendly and hardworking. We appreciated it so much as it is rare to find a great hideaway like this. Rates are reasonable for the area. Highly recommended for couples looking to escape the chaos and get away for a long weekend.

The Anchor Inn is a perfect little getaway stay. The location is wonderful if your looking to stay RIGHT NEAR the beautiful beach. Also...you can sit right outside your room door and take in the beautiful weather and sights. Never been happier with a place...we just happen to find it when we went to RI..and will always return there...just make reservations...only 13 rooms...defintely worth every penny! Take my advice and ENJOY...ENJOY!!
