3 reviews for Rose Point Park Campground, New Castle
won't go back again
By camperfamily24, 05/17/09
We thought this campground was very overpriced. We camped with 3 children and the price on the internet is only for 2 adults. Every child over 5 years old was $3/ night more. They stuffed you in like sardines and allowed people to park anywhere they wanted which made backing in a trailer very difficult. The playgrounds were alright.

Great Place
By Candace, 09/24/08
My husband and I have been camping at Rose Point Campground for years. We never had any problem that wasn't addressed immediately and fixed. We never had cold showers no matter when we took them. The only time we ever had to wait to get in the gate was when they were busy checking in other guests. The wait was no more that a minute or two. They have gate cards that can be signed out for a $10 fee that is returned to you when you return the card so that you can enter the campground when you wish. We think it is great that the campground is gated so that people who do not belong there can't get in. We recommend this campground to all our friends and anyone else looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors.

no hot showers !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/28/06
Stayed there as tent campers. Arrived on a Thur. Memorial Day weekend at 7:30 pm. No one at gate barrier to let us in. Shower next morning was hot for about 45 seconds then cold, same case on Friday morning. In the restroom with other campers we all found our showers to be cold. Went to visit family and returned Friday evening at 10:30pm, again no one answered the intercom to open the gate barrier. Waited 20 minutes then had to walk up to the owner's home on the property to tell them their intercom wasn't working and could you please let us in. Noticed the next morning at 9:30am as we were leaving someone was waiting to get in and getting no response. Felt sorry for them- we knew they had a wait. So apparently the intercom was not fixed or they didn't feel the need to man the gate knowing it was broken.
