We stayed at the Egg Harbor location the night we eloped (a month before our wedding). When we pulled in the grass was knee high. We just looked at each other. We were the only couple there, it was mostly occupied by working girls from Atlantic City. The fireplace was boarded up. There was dead spiders in the sauna, and the water in the jacquzzi came out brown. We laughed for hours, and even tried to slow dance naked to the clock radio which was advertised as a CD player. My husband swore we were on hidden camera. It was something out of a comedy!!
My boyfriend decided to be romanitc and plan me a beautiful romantic getaway. He reserved the "honeymoon deluxe suite" Is this was a honeymoon room then we were headed right to divorce lane. The carpets have stains and smell nasty. There was a hole in the wall. They advertise sauna yet they told me none worked in any room. The bathroom floor was disgusting and black. The toilet had a nice black ring around it, well developed. The jacuzzi had marks and there was no bubble bath, you had to pay $5 with it. He ordered me a cake and it was the smallest most disgusting yet most expensive cake ever. The champagne consisted of Verdi which is the cheapest thing on the market. Overall, he got jipped, I appreciate his intentions and I love him so much for it.
This place was a dump. There were hairs in the bathroom, the carpet was stained and nasty, there were stains on the bedding. My room was changed three times and all the rooms had something not working (water, lights). There was dumpster in the middle of the parking area. The outside area was dirty, unlandscaped and trash all about.
This place had many sanitary issues and do not reflect what is shown on the internet website.
The room, the service and location is not desirable.
This place is not equivalent of one star, let alone worth $251/night
If you are considering this place, ride past there first. You will see what I'm talking about. Check the Better Business Bureau for information first.
My husband and I went to Cherry Hill loc.for our honeymoon in Mar 06 .We had a great time, and it was romantic, quiet, secluded, private, and the whirlpool was great. Also the bathrooms and closets were very nice.We stayed in the Deluxe Whirlpool Suite. It was VERY SPACIOUS !!!! The cons were few,but if you are not driving, you are out of luck.My hubby and I walked quite a distance to go out, however luckily we are fitness mindedAll in all a positive exp,and we plan to try to go there annually.
This place advertises TV w/HBO, complimentary movies, refrig-wet bar, heated pools, dinner pkgs w/limo svcs, 42" flatscreen tv's-but that's just what it is-ADVERTISEMENT. During our so-called romantic stay, the room was musty, the wet bar consisted of a can of coke and sprite, the refrig was not cleaned out, the water was not hot, movies????The outdated stereo equipment did not have a slot to play movies-it was just a radio in the wall in a slot that was oversized. The tv???We had a 19 inch regular tv and no-the remote control did not work. The jacuzzi had mold around it and the bathroom was scummy. The place left alot to be desired-we were afraid to even eat anything in the room. As far as the dinner packages advertised-BE AWARE!!!! and the Limo????what limo?
The location is not in the best of areas. The room was comfortable for someone other than a person looking for a 3-5 star getaway.
The front desk service was not all that great either.
On February 9, 2008 stayed one night. For $250.00 on a Saturday night was absolutely too much to pay. My husband and I visited the Cherry Hill location and found it need many repairs. For instance the mirrors were dirty, the air conditioning system worked but was not pleasing to look at, the toiletris in the room looked old (from 1970's), the chairs are broken, bugs were in the room, did not use shower as it looked like it was dirty and mildewed, door in bathroom needs painting, over all the room was very dated and looks more like a place where the local hookers visited frequently. I'm 42 and would never visit again nor recommend anyone else to. I found it very appauling. Your better off driving to Atlantic City staying at Borgata or its equal. A very dissapointing valentine celebration!!!
The room had the same bed spread from 20 yrs ago, the mirrors were dirty, the double shower only had one hot water working, the bed was as hard as a rock and I don't mean firm! In other words could feel the coil springs threw the sheets! And to top it all off I forgot my camera there and the cleaning crew kept it! I know it was my responsability but come on now! I worked for a car rental co and if someone called that they left something, we had it for them! It's call integerty, something these Arab fucks don't have! NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!
This place is the total opposite of their site. Very disappointing! I reserved the Pool Suite for me and my husband and when I got there we were told that it's under renovations. No one bother to call me - sounds like a bait and switch to me. I was offered another room which did not (in way, shape, form) meet my standard for Hubby.
Don't Do It!!!!!!!!!
I stayed in a suite at the inn of the dove and i definitely had a great time. The place was beautiful with the african art, double showers, jacuuzi, and canopy bed...it was very different compared to other hotel room's i've been in. The room also was huge, I loved the place. I'm not sure how much it cost though.
I went for the first time and I do not think I would return.I liked the fireplace and the seperate showers. The room smelled like cigaretes,we called for another room, but the clerk stated they were all smoking rooms. The smell was strong all night long. The Jaccuzzi and the TV are kind of small for such a big room. The shower had some mildew around it.The mirror on the head of the bed looks weird, you see yourself double. The carpeting needs a good cleaning. The room is ok for the winter because of the fireplace.Overall it is a bit expensive for the what I have experienced.
