Great find!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/09
We were pleased to discover this interesting and very carefully redone home in a historic distric of Dayton. Had a lovely Thai meal just a block away, and the next day were only minutes from the UD campus we'd come to visit. Had a little trouble with the the driving directions to the Inn and the campus, but otherwise would stay again in the future.

Got it very right

I've stayed at a lot of bed & breakfast inns across the country. The Inn Port is the full package...the charm of a by-gone era, orginal woodwork, conversation porches, large, airy rooms, and private modernized suites with discreet modern amenities...all set in an active and alive retro community in the heart of Dayton (who knew!?!). The well-stocked dining area is perfect for sneaking a midnight snack or a comfortable breakfast with new friends. Overall, well done! The only thing I would change is the bed linens...at the next upgrade, I would recommend true linens, cotton and high thread count.

convenient--quiet

Just two or three short blocks to downtown. I walked and conducted my business and my wife had the car to shop and visit friends. A great place to stay.

Nice place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/08
We visit Dayton a few times a year. In the past we would stay at relives or friend houses. Occasionally we would pay for a hotel. Some of the big national hotels were not up to our standards (clean & Safe). One place we stayed at the room had a pizza box in it. Then the next place we stayed in was actually being used as an apartment (Dayton Mall). They had trash in the stairwells. So we looked on the internet (a few years ago) for a four star hotel. To our surprise there wasn't one in Dayton. So we started to look at B & B. Inn Port Bed & Breakfast is centrally located down town Dayton. The location is in walking distance to a movie theater and some real nice Independent restaurants. Also directly in front is a play ground. Overall we enjoyed or experience. The rooms are clean, the owners a great, and it is a great place to go and relax in-between visiting friends and family.

A Perfect Place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/08
Innkeeper's greeting and hospitality are unsurpassed. The room was beautifully and comfortably appointed. The jacuzzi bath was awesome. Very clean and the location of the Inn was convenient to restaurants and shopping in a neighborhood of character. We look forward to staying at Inn Port again when we return to Dayton.

This place was wonderful! It's beautiful, quiet, well appointed, nice location. We really can't say enough good things about it! We loved the area. There were great places to eat in walking distance. Our hosts were friendly and helpful as can be. We would recomend the Inn Port Guesthouse to anyone traveling to Dayton. We will definitely stay there again!

Loved the Inn Port Guesthouses!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/08
I recently had the pleasure of staying at both Inn Port D'Vino and Inn Port Guesthouse. I had enjoyed my first stay at Inn Port D'Vino so much that an unplanned trip back to Dayton a week later led me to stay at Inn Port Guesthouse, its sister-property down the street. I like their location because they are located in Dayton's quaint Oregon district, are minutes away from the University of Dayton and a major mall area, and allow easy access to highways. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere of the themed rooms is charming, comfortable and relaxing. The owners are also very friendly and accommodating and make you feel at home.
