Not as dog friendly as they claim!
We have stayed here twice now, but this last time will certainly be our last. It is a nice place and the cabins are well kept. However, the cabins are very close to each other and offer very little privacy from other guests. You can see into neighboring cabins from yours and literally hear someone 2 cabins away sneeze!
Our main problem (and reason we will not be returning here) was that they claim to be very dog friendly, but we found it quite the contrary. We traveled here (both times) with our 2 dogs. We were quite excited to find such a nice place to stay that was so accomodating to our 4-legged family members. Our first trip was great and we had no problems. However on our 2nd night there, someone complained to the front desk about dogs barking and so the staff came down to the cabins and saw us sitting on the porch with our dogs, and quite rudly threatened to kick us out. Now, I will admit that our dogs had barked a few times that evening, but we quieted them down right away each time. In addition, while sitting ouside we heard several other dogs, in other cabins, barking. They were not very friendly in handling the complaints with us, and we feel we were unfairly treated considering ours were not the only dogs barking.
We were so offended by the treatment that we decided to check out the next day (a day early). The owners themselves checked us out and could not have cared less that we were dissatisfied with our experience.
The only reason we were willing to pay their over-inflated prices was because they claimed to be so dog friendly. We will most certainly not be returning, and will stop recommending them to others. Unless you have silent dogs, I wouldn't take dogs here!
